It’s still mighty early.

Back in 1988, Dukakis had an 18 point lead on GHWB right after the Democratic convention in mid summer.

Polls at this juncture can be misleading and, in the case of this outfit, downright inaccurate.

At this point in 1992, Bush had an 8 point lead over Clinton. (Of course, Perot had a 2 point lead on Bush.)

Enough already with the Dukakis BS... That was a long time ago... 20 years... You folks are delusional to bring that up... We had an incredibly popular President in Reagan on the stump for Bush... It was a totally different political climate... It’s naive, and dumb to even bring that up. Why don’t you bring up Dole/Clinton, where Clinton was in the lead, and never gave it up?

True, but McCain will be celebrating with LaRaza in July, and he'll no doubt find numerous other ways of angering what should be his base voters.

Has any presidential candidate lost all 50 states?
