I guess I’ll be the first one to disagree with just about every statement made on here about this guy’s “ranting”.

I guarantee you — that if any one of you was being falsely accused of molesting or raping or touching a child — with the outrageous sex offender laws in this country being what they are — totally swinging to the opposite side of where they should be, and completely ineffective at preventing ANY child from being sexually abused at all — you would be hiring this guy to represent you in a heartbeat — and you would mortgage your house and go broke to pay him every single penny.

He’s doing his job as a defense attorney. In case you forgot (I know it’s not a reality, but in writing and in theory it is supposed to be the law of the land) — you are “innocent until proven guilty”. In order to protect citizens constitutional rights to a fair trial by a jury of their peers, we HAVE to have vigorous and vigilant defense attorneys EXACTLY like this guy to protect the rights of the accused. They HAVE to make sure that “victims” are in fact, “victims” and not pawns of their parents or of bitter divorcing parents who coerce their children into accusations that have no basis in reality.

There are too many innocent men locked up in prison in this country. AND there are too many men who made grave mistakes with respect to children who CAN be rehabilitated and turned around to learn how to think and act and behave differently, to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Sex offender treatment programs are highly effective at keeping the recidivism rates for sex offenders at an all-time low. There are reasons for this, but you’d actually have to do some homework and research on your own to understand it.

Any and all of you piously spouting your outrage at what this defense attorney / politician said publicly would hire him to defend YOU or your loved one in one second, would you be accused AND if you could afford it.

Yep — that’s a fact.

RE: Defense attorneys—

It’s a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

He is an officer of the court.
As such, his ultimate goal is to find justice.

To openly admit he would be overly hostile to witnesses simply because he thinks the punishment for the offense is too extreme, disqualifies him and throws his integrity into question.

Yup. That’s what’s going on, and that’s the facts.

I believe it’s time that we protect our most precious gift — our children. They have been harmed for far too long. When I was 7 years ago, I nearly became a victim of this. This is the most evil crime.
