James Dobson Terrified by President Obama
Newsmax ^ | June 25, 2008 | Staff

In a one-two punch, Focus on the Family’s Dr. James Dobson ripped into Barack Obama, saying that Obama terrifies him, while on Tuesday night’s "Hannity & Colmes" show, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee warned that the Illinois senator’s views on such issues as partial birth abortion takes away the equality of unborn children, and that Obama makes him uncomfortable.

Dobson appeared on Sean Hannity’s radio show Tuesday. During the show, Hannity commented that he found Obama to be dishonest overall, noting that “I think he was dishonest to the American people” when speaking of his former pastor and spiritual adviser the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Obama said that Wright had never expressed his vitriol to Obama stating "this is not the man I knew" though he had sat in a pew and listened to him for 20 years. Said Hannity, “I think he’s fundamentally dishonest and has been on a variety of issues, the most recent is his flipping and flopping on public financing, etc. I think he’s got some character issues as relates to honesty.”

I hope that Senator John McCain isn't tempted to put former Governor Mike Huckabee on the ticket as his running mate, hoping to mollify the base: Those of us that studied Huckabee's positions during the primary season would be enraged and discouraged, not placated.

As for Senator Barack Obama; every true American, whether Christian, Jew, Atheist, Muslim, Agnostic, Hindu, or whatever, should disgusted that the democratic party would foist such an anti-American, socialist, racist empty suit upon us and expect us to vote for him.

Dobson sounds like he would fit into the company of King David, Joshua and Caleb. “Terrified”? I wonder if God is terrified.

Obama is evil and hatred personified, and he is quite possibly the most dangerous man alive.

His most ardent followers are just as dangerous for advocating partial birth abortion and open negotiations with international terrorist groups.

Obama and many of his followers are also guilty of racism, and instigating intense racial tensions not seen since the OJ Simpson trial.

His message is crystal clear: Total oppression of talk radio hosts and other Conservatives, a huge increase in federal taxes, Stalinist laws toward gun owners and more taxes.

Armed robbery and rape will increase with Obama's plan for disarmament, and the abomination of abortion will continue.

His gargantuan "social programs" will fail miserably, and all those taxpayer dollars will be lost, stolen or otherwise misused by corrupt government officials (many of whom are installed by Obama's people).

Lastly, under an Obama administration, we will see a rise in international terrorism the world over. This will yield more terrorist attacks at home against our Allies, and we will probably witness yet another attempted genocide of the Israeli civilian population. Only this time, it will be a nuclear holocaust.

Again, I see the most dangerous man alive about to assume the role of President of the United States.

I share the terrified feelings that Dr. James Dobson also has.

You got me there.

I should follow the Apostle Paul's example, and maintain a stronger Faith in God.

But I still can't help but envision the gates of H*ll opening up if Obama assumes power.

Jesus conquered hell and death. Obama is the emptiest of suits and I believe God set him up to defeat that Jezebel Hillary. McCain will be President and the Dems will wonder how stupid they could have been to nominate a guy named Barack Hussein Obama.

These Dems are but grasshoppers.

I saw Duncan Hunter on the House floor today, speaking.

Oh, how it made me long for a different outcome than McCain as GOP nominee.

Failing that, it made me long for a miracle that would bring Duncan Hunter into the stumbling, bumbling and vacuous McCain campaign as VP.

Oh, I know he doesn’t fit as McCain’s VP. And I know he endorsed Huckabee, but as much as that riled me I have to think he was just making the best of a bad set of choices.

The Panel on Brit’s show today was mulling over and pontificating about what McCain’s campaign needs that it hasn’t got.

I thought to myself:

Duncan Hunter, who could ignite this base.

But as Hunter ignited it, McCain would come along at each step and douse the flame with his “cap and trade”, “comprehensive immigration reform” and assorted nonsense.

PING! Obama is a racist bigot,a liar,a fraud and most important of all, a Communist!
This whole race issue is nothing but a political smokescreen by the Left. To those who say this election is based upon race, let them replace Obama with Michael Steele or Alan Keyes. How would the Left play the Race Card then?
Steele or Keyes in the Oval Office, would be their worst nightmare! Obama and his gang can be described in one word, EVIL! To any who take issue with that,I submit to you, that either Obama and the Democrats are evil,or Socialist Dictatorship is benevolent!

Terrified? You should be ashamed of yourself. You've allowed an opponent to terrorize you instead of energize you. That is not democracy. It's not American. Seeing what Obama stands for should make you stand up for what you believe all the more, not cower in fear about what American under BO might be like.

“James Dobson Terrified by President Obama”

Well then Dr. Dobson should have backed someone less than “PERFECT”! IMO McCain wins without Conservatives IF he wins.

Imagine a ticket with Fred or even Duncan on the top, but if you fail to kiss the Doctor's ring, well look what we have.

I have to be honest here folks, I would rather have had Rudy than the Senator from Arizona!

Trust me, I am as much a Wolverine in mentality as the characters were in the film "Red Dawn."

However, everyone has fear.

It's just a matter of saddling up and facing it down.

This is going to be the election from hell, bearing in mind the words of Gomer Pyle for the pathetic choices by both parties: “shame, shame, shame.”

There were a few people even in Nazi Germany who knew that Hilter really wants to rid his nation of “life unworthy of living.” Where is the humanity of Obams voting FOUR times for legalizing partial birth buchery? This man is VERY scary. Hitler meant what he said and Obama is obsessed with death to innocents. Yet McCain is unable to speak up about why the nation must have a right to life amendment.

But on a good note, I heard today that the most recent polls state that McCain and Obama are tie. That is a lot more promising than the 15 percent lead Obama allegedly had just the other day, according to my newspaper.

Medved was saying he thinks the reason for the upgrade in numbers for Johnny is because he’s starting to address the oil issues but I think its a combination; people are also beginning to hear more about what Obama is about.

So, what do you propose?

At present, I am energized enough to vote for a man who is a flimsy excuse for a republican...As sad as it is, it is about all we can do.

I guess democracy does only last until the voters realize they can vote themselves largesse...The slide into tyranny is getting steeper. The R candidate being so liberal only evidences that fact.

What’s wrong with you guys? Why the HATE for Dobson??? He’s on OUR side.
Oh, I forgot... He’s ‘RELIGIOUS!’ I’m ashamed that hate for Christianity has seeped over and is infiltrating the right.

The guy is saying he’s terrified of what Obama can/will do to this country if elected. How hard is that to understand?

And at least Dobson IS doing what he can about it. -Unlike us, who sit here and blog anonymously.. He speaks his beliefs like a MAN - in public. And they are just that... -HIS beliefs. Last time I checked, a man was free to do so in this country without persecution.

I didn't say anything against Dobson, but since you brought it up...in my experience those who use religion to gain power on the national stage are not on "Our side" they are on no one's side but there own.

Pious men don't need to shout. Scratch any one of these guys are you're not gonna like what you find--as we see time and time again.

I certainly don't hate Christians, what I hate are those who building the business of Christianity.

I don't hate Dobson, but I am disappointed that he is PART (IMO), not all but part of the reason we (Repub Party) have the nominee we do.
