President Bush met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani this morning in the Oval Office. (Transcript)
President Talabani: I am proud to have the honor of meeting President George Bush, whom we consider the liberator of Iraq from the worst kind of dictatorship, as a great friend of the Iraqi people.
Also present for the meeting were Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
Later, the President met with United Nations Security Council Representatives in the Roosevelt Room of the White House for a discussion on Zimbabwe. (Transcript)
President Bush: Friday's elections, you know, appear to be a sham. You can't have free elections if a candidate is not allowed to campaign freely and his supporters aren't allowed to campaign without fear and intimidation.
People there want to express themselves at the ballot box, yet the Mugabe government has refused to allow them to do so. This is not just, and it is wrong.
This afternoon, the President departed the White House to speak at the Max M. Fisher National Republican Award Dinner in Livonia, Michigan. (Transcript)

Less than a mile from there is where Pres. Bush suited up to fly out to the USS Lincoln from North Island Naval Air Base

I have never seen a President work harder. Now that you mention it, it's rare to see President Bush relaxing. Maybe once or twice a year we might see him on a boat with his family or mountain biking. But that's it.
He takes the responsibility of his office very seriously--a sharp contrast to the man who was in that office before him.

And I like the way you color and enlarge the most important lines.
Thank you :) I didn't intend to do that so much tonight, LOL. But there were so many great lines from his speech today in Michigan.

I am so sick and tired of the liberals lame excuses of not wanting to lift the ban on drilling and letting the oil companies get the oil out Me too. And I'm hoping that the majority of Americans feel the same way. Democrats = less gas in your tank and less $ in your wallet.

Hi, Daisy :)
If I live to be 100, I will never understand BDS. I think he has done an awesome job with the awesome challenges he has faced
I totally agree. Even some of the folks on our side don't realize how fortunate they've been to have President Bush.

The ‘bill managers’ snuck that in (sure).
I called my congresscritter and Sen. John
Ensign’s office .. he has another reason
for wanting it blocked, but I gave his rep
several precious pieces of my mind (hard to
spare these days ;) about the primary reasons.

Better detail:
“The provision, which was added by the bill’s managers without debate this week, would require the nation’s payment systems to track, aggregate, and report information on nearly every electronic transaction to the federal government.”
