Plouffe: Barr could make the difference

Barack Obama's campaign manager said former Georgia Rep. Bob Barr, running for president on the Libertarian line, could play a crucial role in winning Obama the presidency.

He said Barr could play a particularly large role in two states: Alaska and Georgia.

Alaska is "one of the states where we think Barr can get 6,7, 8 percent," Plouffe said. "Barr will get some votes [in Georgia,. If barr were to get two percent in most states, our belief is he’ll get four percent here, most of it coming out of McCain’s hide."

This guy is pretty intelligent. To bring up Alaska! To even care about it and and understand it.

I remember Pat Buchanan won the Alaska primary when he ran. Those guys are hardcore Conservatives.

Barr may indeed suck enough votes out of there.

Also, he is bound to score few votes out of his own district.

Plouffe: Barr could make the difference

Then someone is going to have to tell MacCain that he'd better get his senatorial ass in gear and begin courting the people he's made a political career of pissing on...conservatives!

McCain might win Alaska if he reverses his stupid position on not drilling in ANWR.

Bob Barr is a singularly unattractive alternative. People will really have to hate McCain to vote for him.

What is it in Barr’s legislative record that goes against conservative values? Can you point me to the votes?

It won’t be Barr alone. I suspect we’ll see a huge number of write in votes this time out.

I’m sure Obama’s campaign is HOPING Barr makes a difference, in their candidate’s favor. That’s the only reason Barr is in the race; to try to punish the Republican Party, because he has no chance to win the election.

His own district doesn’t like him.

I was at a company dinner last night with retail brokers and one of them made a prediction: McCain in a landslide and he hasn’t been wrong since Jimmy Carter.

Barr won’t make a difference. The idiots who vote for him may make a difference.

Interesting coincidence. This election looks a lot like that one. Carter-Ford / Obama-McCain.

Barr is a certified, deranged LUNATIC by thinking/saying that Iran is harmless, not trying to get the bomb, etc. I don’t care if his ACU score is 99.9999999, this flaw when it comes to Iran is so monstrously fatal.

Barr is such a stupid assclown and tool of the left. He has helped raised millions for the demonic ACLU. Don't talk to me about "privacy rights"... the ACLU uses that issue as a smokescreen while they fight for homosexual indoctrination in schools, bans on the Boy Scouts, footbaths and special prayers hours for Muslim students and workers, and fighting for habeas corpus for terrorists.

Meanwhile if, as Barr claims, the ACLU is so supportive of Constitutional rights, why don't they have an amicus brief in opposition to the D.C. gun ban? Because they are frauds. There are groups like the EFF which more purely oppose government privacy intrusions. But Barr instead chose to plant his flag with a Marxist front group which poses as a civil rights advocate.

I'll say it once again. Bob Barr is an assclown and a stooge of the far left. Any FReeper who votes for him is certifiable.

Barr will not get this Georgia vote.

Nor this one. I actually liked him during the Clinton years, but no more.
