Mac vs. PC. Is the Democratic candidate starting to symbolize change for change’s sake?

Obama, so 'cool' that it would be fun to punch his lights out.

I hope someone has a good picture of Obama in front of his revised Presidential Seal! If so, he will regret it big time!

No. Someone sent it to Mark Steyn as a joke and he posted it as a "Universal Stump Quote" for the canidates in this election cycle -------
"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it." I thought this was so cute, I posted it on the Web at National Review. Whereupon one of those Internetty-type things happened, and three links and a Google search later the line was being attributed not to my correspondent but to Sen. Obama, and a few weeks after that I started getting e-mails from reporters from Florida to Oregon, asking if I could recall at which campaign stop the senator, in fact, uttered these words. And I'd patiently write back and explain that they're John Gross' words, and that not even Barack would be dumb enough to say such a thing in public. Yet last week his demand in his victory speech that we "come together to remake this great nation" came awful close.

The old vs. new theme in this years matchup sometimes seems reminiscent of Apple Computers often hilarious Mac vs. PC ads. While funny and likable as far as television commercials go, they didnt necessarily translate into higher sales at first...Political wit? Editorial using the Mac v. PC ads as political fodder...

Everyone should see this video, and better yet, show it to a brainless Obama supporter.
Eddie Murphy, “Distinguished Gentleman”, campaign speech that sounds the same, in concept and content, to Obama’s speeches:

It's clear from the reworking of the presidential seal to the campaign posters in the style of Marxist propaganda that Le Nouveau Messiah has an ARROGANCE problem.
How callous does he have to be to ignore the millions of lives changed or lost by Americans in the fight against Marxism and Communism the world over by embracing that ominous iconography as his own?
This is a man who so fundamentally lacks an understanding of what it has meant to be American that he can't possibly be a this nation's next president. If elected to succeed Bush, Obama'll be a president of something else entirely.

There is probably no clearer parallel to Youre likable enough, Hillary, in advertising. Interesting observation, but not quite parallel.

“Obama, so ‘cool’ that it would be fun to punch his lights out.”
Actually, “Mac”Cain and “PC” (Politically Correct) Obama works better.
After all, Macs ARE better...just ask Rush! ;-)
To: .cnI redruM
The Mac ads are successful and Mac’s public profile is exactly where Mac wants it to be. What Mac has done with the iPod, using peer pressure to keep other music players as also-rans, is very impressive. Obama is smart to mimic it, and we should all hope he is far less successful than Mac has been.
