You know, I doubt that this population, as uninformed as it now is and as disrespectful of history and true facts, would give two hoots. We are being run by celebrity and youth and we run a high risk of being taken over by those who hate us. Youth, charisma, looking sexy, riches, partying, being a part of the “in” crowd are what matter. Young people in their rebellious phase latch on to these things, only to learn later that they do not satisfy and even, that they destroy lives. As I read about a possible recession this a.m. and certainly, gas and food prices, inflation, the housing crisis, and OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA, with hardly a peep from the other side, I weep and pray that God will awaken our great nation to truth, a real “love thy neighbor” attitude, and to a wisdom which has been lost because of corruption in our institutions for the sake of personal power and ambition. I still do have that “hope” which Obama mentions so often but my “hope” is that we will see God act in a way which will correct some of this.

I agree with you. YOuth can be a GOOD THING esp when it ushers in the new. But in this case it’s a disguise. There is really only one reason why the democrats are for high oil prices and against unleashing American know how...It’s to keep the poor and uneducated depenedent on them. They want this country to go to hell in a hand basket so they can take it over with more gov’t intervention and control of our lives. THey want the end to families, designer babies, globalization...etc.

Sad thing is, although it's meant to be a sarcastic movie, it really sums up where I think this country is headed if something doesn't snap us out of this perpetual reign of stupidity...
