That's the point, where is the PROOF he was born inside the USA? Absence of evidence he was foreign born does not equal proof he was US born.

No, but absence of any evidence at all that he was foreign born does tend to indicate that he wasn't. And if he wasn't born in a foreign country then by default he was born in the states.
