t is now a virtual certainty that the "birth certificate" claimed by the Barack Obama campaign as authentic is a photoshopped fake.
The image, purporting to come from the Hawaii Department of Health, has been the subject of intense skepticism in the blogosphere in the past two weeks.
It has become even more suspect with the revelation that variations of the certificate image were posted on the Photobucket image aggregation website -- including one listing the location of Obama's birth as Antarctica, one with the certificate supposedly issued by the government of North Korea, and another including a purported photo of baby Barack -- one of which has a "photo taken" time-stamp just two minutes before the article and accompanying image was posted on the left-wing Daily Kos blog.
That strongly suggests that Daily Kos obtained the image from Photobucket, not the State of Hawaii, the Obama family, or the Obama campaign. Photobucket is not known as a credible supplier of official vital records for any of the fifty states, and the liberties that other Photoshoppers took with the certificates confirms this.

Mine does look a lot more like Obama’s, which is why I scanned it. I think the actual certificate that was used to create the Obama cert is real, it’s the fuzzy type that is disturbing and the lack of folds.

People who have dual citizenship...which country are you more loyal too. My mother gave up her British citizenship to become a American citizen. She took a oath that she would be a loyal American and abandon her King or Queen.
Since the Brits and Americans have a friendly treaty.....she was able to keep her British Citizenship and collects the British version of Social Security....like $45.
She had to write to the British Embassy to get that!
Actually, BO’s simply says “Date Filed By Registrar”.
But the biggest problem is the missing embossed seal, which can be seen on all of the real docs.

If you look at the genuine certificates the folds indicate the size of the envelopes they were mailed in, the lack of folds in the obama ‘document’ would indicate to me it may have been received in person.
Just a thought.
My certificate is light green and you can barely see the blue hatch marks on the background (sort of like a watermark). Barry’s are really, really blue. Huh.
2 Giveaways. The blacked out certificate number is unnecessary-blacking it out serves no purpose. Also, I requested my copy in 2003. I’ve read he requested his copy in 2007 and the DeCosta copy was requested in 2002. Why did they change the wording at the bottom: Date accepted by the State Registrar.
Shoot, for 10 bucks I’m tempted to request another copy of Jer’s bc for grins and giggles, since this is 2008. As a matter of fact, I believe I’ll do that right now, since Jer will probably lose this one, too!

Because it’s a red herring designed to waste our time. Say his real birth certificate was legit and he is a citizen of the US: he plants a fake one to stir up an issue that goes nowhere and deflects potential freeper investigators from spending time looking at other issues. Who know; I sure as h3ll don’t.
If there’s a raised seal there, all the Obama people have to do is darken it with pencil lead and scan it again put back online. As I had done with a court document of mine not to long ago so it would show up on a copy.
I also see nothing... Philybits is imagining or wishing the embossing seal.
Was it an American passport?
Up until the 1970's dual citizenship was illegal for U.S. citizens. Regardless, I would assume that one's loyalty would lie with the country one spent their entire life living in. In Obama's case that would be the U.S.
Obama is an American citizen born in Hawaii. The certrificate is an official copy issued by the state just like the one I recently had to get for issuance of a passport.
There are bigger, mopre authentic fish to fry with Obama, why waste time and credibility.
