Analysis: Faked birth certificate suggests Obama may not be US citizen

t is now a virtual certainty that the "birth certificate" claimed by the Barack Obama campaign as authentic is a photoshopped fake.

The image, purporting to come from the Hawaii Department of Health, has been the subject of intense skepticism in the blogosphere in the past two weeks.

It has become even more suspect with the revelation that variations of the certificate image were posted on the Photobucket image aggregation website -- including one listing the location of Obama's birth as Antarctica, one with the certificate supposedly issued by the government of North Korea, and another including a purported photo of baby Barack -- one of which has a "photo taken" time-stamp just two minutes before the article and accompanying image was posted on the left-wing Daily Kos blog.

That strongly suggests that Daily Kos obtained the image from Photobucket, not the State of Hawaii, the Obama family, or the Obama campaign. Photobucket is not known as a credible supplier of official vital records for any of the fifty states, and the liberties that other Photoshoppers took with the certificates confirms this.

Could be .. though University records are cited.

“Even by the standards of 1961, she was young to be married. At 18, she dropped out of college after one semester, according to University of Hawaii records.”

Is Stanley Ann’s exact DOB documented anywhere?

You’re probably right.. (but the article really does bring up some good points).

Thanks, Dog :)

There IS something to this. Namely, a forged document being offered as proof on Obama’s website.

According to BO’s Birth Certificate its really hard to tell if BO parents were married. We have no way to know with the certificate number is blacked out.

A private investigator should unseal Obama’s BC to save us from embarrassment.

Here’s something about Dual Citizenship being a liability running for POTUS.

If one parent is a citizen of the US, and the other is not, and the child is born outside of the US, is the child a “natural born” US citizen for purposes of US presidential requirements?
Posted by: catapult43
Anon10366 - Yours is an interesting question with lots of nuances that depend on where the child is born (e.g., outside the US versus outside the US but in a US possession or territory) and whether the non-citizen parent is also considered a national (legally protected by the US, e.g., a long-term resident of the US). A natural born citizen is determined by the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution and 8 USC 1401. But, to answer your specific question, the following is a natural born citizen for purposes of being eligible to be a US president:

Parent 1 is a citizen and did any of the following collectively for 5 years: lived in the US, served in a branch of the US military, and/or served the US in a diplomatic way; and parent 2 is an alien.

Some other interesting scenarios giving the child natural-born US citizen status:

Parent 1 is a citizen who lived in the US for at least a year and Parent 2 is a US national. A US national is a non-citizen who is legally protected by the US, e.g., a long-term resident of the US.

Parent 1 is a citizen and lived in the US for at least a year, and the child was born outside the US but in a US possession (note a US possession is different than a US territory) and Parent 2 is an alien.

Can the US President hold dual citizenship?
Editor’s reply: that’s a good question. the law states that the Presidential candidate must be “natural born,” but if you are born to American parents outside of the US, you can still be considered “natural born.” legally, it’s possible, but most obviously, holding dual citizenship with another country is a political liability, and thus, most candidates for political office will opt to renounce their dual citizenship before seeking office.

Very true. I never paid much attention to the certificate number. Since the cert. no. carries absolutely no value as far as identity theft goes, there’s no reason to black it out. It makes far more sense to black out last names, etc.

I contend Obama’s is a fake.

Was one of McCain’s parents a non-citizen?

How do we know? Has anyone seen both birth certificates?

And if they were, how would that disqualify Obama?

But your copy does make the 11/01 Laser printer thing not relevant anymore.

I guess the laser isn’t an issue anymore. This is two certificates with that on them.

This is getting interesting. I also noticed that the text in Barry's doc looks weird, so I compared it to my Marriage Certificate. I also noted the "Date Accepted By State Register" text that is in the other Birth Certs and my doc.

I can also confirm that my cert no. starts with 151 YEAR-NUMBER...so Hawaii uses that convention for more than just births.

Can someone go into Federal Court and ask for an injunction against Obama running for POTUS? If so, that would flush the truth out.

Not only can you see the seal, but the background on the BO certificate is awfully clear, not a scanned image at all it looks like. But a graphic image.

Just my opinion though.

Yes, and the dates of birth span before and after Barack’s, so the year of his birth doesn’t matter.

This is so interesting! You people are smart.

Your border edges don’t match up...just like Obama’s...Now I’m wondering if there are TWO different laser printers??? making these print outs? Or two different computer graphics/data base systems?

The DeCosta certificate has completely different borders.

Maybe the ‘Post Turtle’ should just produce a real birth certificate and end the speculation.

Look, this is an issue that would be easy for Obama to clear up in 5 minutes but he's not saying anything. The birth certificate that Obama has presented to the world is very questionable to say the least.

I see that you signed up today.
