With the likelihood of an Israeli strike on Iran, and with Iran threatening to deal the U.S. a strong blow in the mouth, what kind of message are Democrats sending Tehran by insisting on quickly withdrawing U.S. troops from the region?
Having stood idly by while Iran progressed through step after step in their near-complete quest to obtain nuclear weapons, we now will be telling the mullahs that we will be splitting town when our ally finally opposes them. In todays New York Sun, Eli Lake compiles some of the nightmare scenarios that may be unleashed in response to an Israeli strike:

Don’t worry... If Iran nukes us, the Europeans will come to our rescue.
President Obama is the nightmare scenario.
No problemo, POTUS BHO will talk to them and everything will be just “peachy”.
No problemo, POTUS BHO will talk to them and everything will be just “peachy”.
Oops!
Somebody needs to give that little Imadamnutjob “a strong blow to the mouth”.
Our military knows where he lives and could airmail a J-DAM down on his sorry self in a heartbeat.
But that will all change with the coming of the Obamanation of Desolation.
The message is, "We don't give a crap about anything other than domestic giveaway spending that keeps us in power. Iran can have what it wants, and if it cuts off our oil supply, well, we use too much oil anyway."
There's the message.
Of course, at that time, the impetus will not be to keep Mexican illegals out, but to keep US citizens in.
The Obamination gets elected Potus, and it is January 20, 2009.
The Obamination has just said his version of being sworn in as Potus:
I do solemnly swear [or affirm] that I will not support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, I will not bear true faith and allegiance to the same: that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and I will not faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me Allah.
As the Obamination starts to speak, his Pentagon guy, Muhammed Rashheed, with the football tells the Obamination, that shorty after he was sworn in, Israel destroyed the political and military assets of Iran and Syria. The Mossad has killed every al Queda leader in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Europe and America.
Also, Israeli leaders on world wide tv are showing and documenting the Obaminations full Islamofascist connections and most of the rats in Congress. They have demanded the surrender of those members of Congress and the Obamination to Israel and Iraq for abetting the killing of innocent Israelis and Iranians by supporting Islamofascists.
George $oreA$$ and his family members and various phoney non profit leaders are in Israel at this time being tried as War Criminals.
At this time GW gets up with Laura and they wave goodbye to the Obamination and his Obamabots as they leave for Texas.
Oh please, not this crap again.
Before Iraq War I, there were all of these so-called experts on the tube scaring the public with how these Iraqi tanks... the 4th largest army in the world... were going to dig down into the sand and become invincible slaughterers of American soldiers and Saddam would rain chemical weapons on Europe.
Now we have to fear the guys that couldn't even beat the Iraqis. Give me a break.
Really looks like some of the old school prophets and mystics were on to something. According to a lot of them, the world ends in 2012. For example, the Aztec calendar ends at 2012 because they believed the world would end then.
/not even sure if I’m joking (but the Aztec thing is real)
The Aztec’s world ended a loooong time ago.
If they were such hot sh*t at predicting the end of the world, how’s come they didn’t forsee their own demise? /sarc/
LOL good point...
“Greenwald”—that’s kind of a rootless cosmopolitan sort of name, isn’t it?
Over and over, history seems to repeat that scene in “Raiders of the Lost Ark”—the one with the terrifying masked swordsman Indy blows away.
