I regularly receive e-mail from the campaign. I really want to see this guy succeed.
The grassroots uprising that you and I are a part of is simply amazing. This campaign is in such a unique position to be the voice of conservative, intelligent America.

I thanked him for his courage and loyalty to those in his command.
As one who had served in the USMC I stated that I felt The Corps had missed out on a good man when he joined the Army.
I also said I would have been proud to serve under his leadership.
Much to my surprise within 10 days I received an email back from him.
It went something like this:
He thanked me for my comments, told me he had relatives in the Army as well as The Corps, it was not a short email. The man was genuine.
His email to me was personalized (no form letter). I have been digging though my old emails looking for my email to him and his reply. So far no luck Damnit !
I had not heard anything about him in the last 4+ years until I read this thread.
Unless he has made a heck of a change this man is real. I respect him based on his actions in Iraq and his courteous and humble reply to me.
