Thanks for posting. You have saved me my NTU renewal fee.

Why would NTU think that enacting a FairTax would help reduce income taxes. Dummies! We'd have both.

I have wrote them back with their silly member surveys telling them this, and now this! No thanks, my membership fee is staying home.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR POSTING THIS.

Why would NTU think that enacting a FairTax would help reduce income taxes. Dummies! We'd have both.

Congress could have enacted a national sales tax long ago while maintaining an income tax if it weren't for one fact. Congress critters realize trying to enact the former would create an outrage from the people equal to that expressed by the people when Congress tried to pass legislation granting amnesty to illegal aliens three times over the last year.

So to Americans For Fair Taxation is also working on concurrent legislation in the form of House Joint Resolution 16 that will repeal the 16th Amendment.

The very fact that the NTU and its many followers have signed onto the Fair Tax is clear evidence your are in a decreasing minority. People are fed up with the status quo. They recognize the need to scrap the income tax and replace with one that allows the people to decide when and how much they are taxed.

All you do in your post is criticize but fail to offer any alternatives. Obviously you prefer a tax code that is destroying this country. Taxpayers are the losers with the current oppressive income tax code and it's 67,000+ pages. It has incrementally taken freedom and power from the people. It is anathema to the intent our founding fathers had in mind when the wrote they Constitution. The Fair Tax will restore at least some the that power and freedom.
