(CNN) -- Sen. Barack Obama took his campaign to Miami, Florida, on Saturday with a message to the nation's mayors: I'll be your ally in Washington, Sen. John McCain will not. (snip)

"Both Sen. McCain and I have traveled recently to the areas that have been devastated by floods. And I know that Sen. McCain felt as strongly as I did feeling enormous sympathy for the victims of the recent flooding. ... And I'm sure they appreciated the sentiment, but they probably would have appreciated it even more if Sen. McCain hadn't opposed legislation to fund levees and flood control programs, which he considers pork."

Blaming McCain for the flood damage?!? And I'm sure they appreciated the sentiment, but they probably would have appreciated it even more if Sen. McCain hadn't opposed legislation to fund levees and flood control programs, which he considers pork."

Poor Osama. Blaming these floods on McCain. ROTFL!!! He's finally starting to lose it. I guess the pressure just got to be too much.

Time for the 'RATS to bring in their backup candidate, Hillary.

Obama is grasping at any issue he can to lay blame at the GOP. He does, and will, come across as a whiney, blame America first reincarnation of the Carter malaise.

Meanwhile, Obama praised several mayors, including New York's Michael Bloomberg's efforts to find new ways to improve his city's economic and crime rates.

Great -- the NY Post's headline this morning: GAS BAG: Hike Tax on Peons

"With drivers around the country fuming about rising gas prices, Bloomberg dropped a bombshell into their tanks yesterday by calling for increased fuel taxes to cut consumption...

"They should be raising the tax and encouraging people to reduce consumption. The anti-tax people don't like that. But using capitalism to encourage the right behavior is exactly the [right] direction of going. Tax policy is the way government uses capitalism...."

Bloomberg said critics can't "have it both ways."

"You can't be against everything and say I still want to turn on my air conditioner," he declared.

Taxes are now "capitalism." Want to turn on your air-conditioner in 90-degree heat? Pay more taxes. That's "capitalism!"

Can you believe that??? Does he have a clue, or is he being deliberately Orwellian? Let's just change the meaning of the words. That'll fool 'em.

Just how many billion dollars taken out of US family paychecks has BO promised today?
The daily totals should be added up so that voters know that they are voting for the same old Democrat tax and spend when they are voting for when they cast their vote for him. After the election, he’ll pull a Pelosi and Reid and say that the voters mandated his pandering spree by electing him.

Obama is a hypocrite.

“The bill passed Congress, with Obama in favor and McCain opposed, although NEITHER TOOK PART IN THE FINAL VOTE (my caps).

The measure was vetoed by President Bush as too expensive, but that veto was overridden, a first for the president. NEITHER McCain nor Obama PARTICIPATED IN THE OVERRIDE VOTE (my caps).”

Taxes are now "capitalism."

Clinton called taxes "investments", which was ludicrous, but this one takes the cake - and coming from a Republican, no less.

This stuff is baloney. The Army Corps. appears to be busier than ever on major safety projects at Dams, etc.

However, many Leeves are controlled by corrupt local boards and agencies. They are much tougher to fix without billions being wasted on sweetheart, no bid deals to contractors who are unqualified.

If McCain called it pork, there is plenty of evidence that it was.
