Fred would be doing the country a huge service. He’s worthy of our trust based on performance, unlike the presumptive Republican presidential candidate. If John listens to Fred he won’t go far wrong. If. I guess this is better than what might otherwise have been. The proof will be in the “pudding” as it were.

Fred as VP might get me pulling the lever, too.
This does, maybe, seem to be a sign that McCain is waking up to the fact that he can’t win if he keeps kicking his base.

Looks like McCain has some smarts. He knows that the only reason many conservatives might hold their nose and close their eyes and pull the lever for him, is because they don’t want Obama picking the likely replacement judges on the Supreme Court. If conservatives are assured that a bona fide conservative would be vetting candidates, they might be swayed.

Why any thinking person would believe anything John McCain promises after saying he “got the message” about border security and Amnesty and then just this week stating in private meetings with Hispanic Organizations that starting on day one he would be pushing for Amnesty is beyond me.
You people are desperate to believe he is a conservative, he is not and he cannot be trusted.
