Microsoft Not Under Investigation In China--Yet

hong kong - Chinas intellectual property bureau issued a formal denial Friday of press reports that asserted it was conducting an anti-monopoly probe of Microsoft.
But it is likely only a temporary reprieve for the global software giant. A new anti-monopoly law will take effect Aug. 1 that has a loosely defined and seemingly low threshold for the government to initiate an official investigation: upon receipt of a complaint from an institution or a lone individual.

Some S. Korean coporations are worried that they would be the targets of Chinese authorities armed with arbitrary interpretation of vague anti-trust laws.
Anyway, after the Beijing Olympics, China may cut down market presence of some big multinationals in China. They had better be ready for this, instead of wishing that it won't materialize.

The Red Chinese are learning about capitalism very quickly. If someone else has money and you want it, use “laws” and the “courts” to help you get it away from them.
I suspect that this has been their game plan all along.
When will American companies realize they have been had? That’s my question. Some companies already learned a long time ago, but somehow the lessons have been ignored.
The chinese government, the PLA, these are groups to be destroyed and laid waste to, not pandered to. They have a hopelessly negative view of the world and US. There is no reason whatsoever for them to continue to exist.
Funny how chinese government talked about possible probe of Microsoft when 99% of personal computers in china use pirated windows system.
