Something really, really, really bothered me about this logo in addition to it's arrogance of use. Then in the wee hours of the morning it hit me! It has the colors that the United Nations uses. Subtle mind conditioning and manipulation. Typical liberal/Marxism arrogance!

Notice what was removed from the crest. I guess if its not good enough for his lapel, its not good enough for his seal.

There’s also one embedded in his site. It’s a bit different, and says Z Pluribus Unum. I have no idea what the Z references; there is some discussion on the net.

This probably shouldn’t bother me a much as it does.
And it surely does - on a few levels.
One, it hints at an arrogance that warns us to beware the person who seeks this office.
Two, it suggests a lack of integrity by adapting/adopting a symbol not earned and by so doing, indicating a lack of respect for the office it represents.
And three, it’s just blatantly dishonest; it’s like a soldier putting on rank insignia he isn’t authorized to wear.
IMHO, it’s a large error by the Obama campaign to put him in front of this “seal”.

This guy is so full of himself it’s beyond belief. To say he has no respect for tradition would be the understatement of the day. In my opinion it makes little to no difference what he has on his podium because what’s coming out of his mouth are a damaged bill of goods that will sink this country into depths it has not seen for a very long time.

It’s not a likeness (which means a copy). It’s just copying the basic style/layout, enough that you know the intention.

We will have to get used to it. He will not preserve, protect and defend the US; no, rather, he will “change” it to the liking of his ilk.

He is beginning to show the symptoms of malignant narcissism. This occurs when a pleasant enough person discovers he can win friends and influence people by being pleasant and telling them what they want to hear. Then, this person discovers it works and others think highly of him, see him as a leader and so forth.

The malignant comes in when this person justifies his actions and self-assessment on the basis of what others think. This justification of his beliefs and persona then has an increasing tempo of mutual reinforcement. Finally, he sees himself as above all others and truly a unique and valuable person who is destined for great things. At first he does not know what these great things are; however, soon he realizes the great things are within himself and changing the world according to his vision and needs is what is truly great.

Changing the great seal of the United States is only emblematic of the changes he will try to achieve.

He’s using some type of psychological marketing idea. His advisors must be reading ‘The Secret’, ‘believe it and it will happen, picture it and it will happen’. Either way, He has unrealistic sense entitlement. God help us.

I really hope someone enforcess this law and puts him back in his place.

In the late 60's the high school band I belonged to was invited to the Inaugural Parade. Since our nickname was the "Marching Ambassadors" the director though it would be neat to have the presidential seal as part of our uniform.

That was until a representative from the Treasury Dept. paid him a visit and told him it was illegal.

Hmmm - the arrows in the right claw represent the military, and use of force. Since Obama has already declared he will dismantle the military, this symbol should be removed.
