I was only remarking on the way the article is written. The child has requested a new attorney and seems to want no part of the lawyer’s assertions yet they are there. In addition, the lawyer is requesting the things in the order, not the child nor the child’s mother. The way the title and the first paragraph reads, one would gather otherwise. I was actually quite happy that perhaps someone in the circle cracked who could allow legal indictments and constitutional correct charges brought forward if wrongdoing exists. After reading the full article I get an entirely different picture. So I asked the question if the attorney is the same one, the single lawyer that has been on Nancy Grace making outrageous claims. If so, does she represent the true interest of the child, or does she represent self interest..?

Natalie Malonis

By golly, she is the one all breathless on Nancy Grace. LMAO.

Wonder is she will get some more airtime. Why no compadres joining her in the gestapo tactics.

I used to call the government lovers here the Nancy Grace mob. lol

Similarly, I decided there was less meat on the bone after I read the article than I gathered from the headlne. One of two scenarios holds: Either the girl has been influenced to cease cooperation with the ad litem, or the ad litem is crusading for relief that is not warranted by the facts.

If the girl is brought before the GJ, she is going to be asked about what went on at flds. If she can’t be located, then some fur is going to fly for sure and someone is going to the pokey for contempt of court.

I decided a while back that Nancy Grace wasn’t worth watching, so I don’t know who has or has not been on that show.

The info about his daughter just gives more credence to the consideration that, for whatever reasons, she isn’t willing to testify.

She might be protecting her father. She might be in fear of what Willie would do, later. Since Warren isn’t the ‘leader’ anymore, and Willie is, can Willie tell Natalie that God told him she is to be his celestial wife?

The attorney could have been ‘coaxing’ Natalie to tell the ‘truth’, and Willie could have been ‘coaxing’ Natalie into thinking about her father and the church.

This letter the court received from Natalie, seems to be ‘questionable’, at this point.

The key will be if Natalie turns up, and if she has a new lawyer.

This is Nancy Grace’s favorite lawyer involved in the case and there is no way to tell if it is a career motivated move or if the effort is genuine. Now, if a bunch of these folks made similar waves then we have something. The only one speaking out this way is a regular on Nancy Grace and kind of tarnishes the whole thing.

The lead in is false and the title is definitely false as to the body of the article.

She can’t get another court appointed lawyer so to speak from what I gather because the judge took Nancy Graces lawyer’s order and refused the change of councel.

How about this for a what if since you are so great at that but always through a prism - what if the lawyer is just MSU’in. Making stuff up. Using the prejudice of the judge to further her career. How about that?

Maybe the girl was at the mall shopping for a new IPOD?

Come on folks.

“I was only remarking on the way the article is written. “

You make an important point that some may have missed.

This particular article seems to be written to ‘slant’ the interpretation a reader gives it.

That’s why I went to search for other ‘versions’ of the same article. The one in CNN (OMG!) was organized better, stringing relevant info together instead of ‘hiding’ it later in the article. Plus they gave more info.

I couldn’t find the CNN article on that, so here’s a local newspaper article.

It seems to give more clarification.

“- what if the lawyer is just MSU’in. Making stuff up.”

Yeah, and if you’d get off your high horse a minute, you’d see that that is exactly what is being mentioned by several posters.

That there is an equal probability at this point, that the lawyer is fighting to keep a client that doesn’t want her.

That the article is written to ‘slant’ the perception of readers into thinking that Willie is pressuring Natalie into not testifying.

If, and when, Natalie shows up, and if she has a new lawyer, then we will have some more facts to deal with, and our ‘perceptions’ may be altered.

From what I can tell, Natalie will likely show up soon with a new lawyer. Whether she will be able to ‘keep’ that lawyer, I can’t say.

The view from my horse is mighty fine, thank you very much.

There is a distinct possibility that the girl got the one lawyer that is more interested in her career than the truth.

“Some good kind citizens should take a few bats to Willie Jessop.”

If he truly did as implied, but I bet there are a lot of EX FLDS members who would like to take a bat to Willie.

“Now why would he have to be in on all talks with the lawyer?”

To protect Warren, and Willie, and the YFZ Ranch property, the FLDS membership, and $100 million in the UEP.

“Isn’t that the role of the mother?”

I have not heard , nor read, anywhere, the name of Natalie’s mother.

“Oh wait, these are perverted child molesters we are talking about.”

Well, Warren Jeffs certainly fits that description. At least according to many of his own family members.

I forget the name of Warren’s teenage daughter.

Natalie is the little girl who Lorrene and Rulon forgot they had when they appreared on the Today Show.

I doubt that the girl wrote either the letter to the court or the emails. They were written for her. The FLDS used the same tactic when Dan Barlow, Jr., the son of the former mayor of Colorado City, was arrested for molesting his five daughters over a number of years.

Letters to the court were written by those girls claiming their dad was a good guy and others sent letters stating that Dan Jr. provided an essential service to the community: he was the only locksmith. The letters worked, Dan Jr. served a total of 13 days in jail.

“..where is the girl?”

Don’t know. If you read the article, which DEPORT posted, it seems to indicate that she hasn’t ‘disappeared’, but only that the court rep. went to her house, and she wasn’t there.

The article implies she was gone to Austin, to seek a new lawyer.

If true, then, I wonder, is this her choice, or not?

Was she coerced, or is she just trying to protect her father, her family, herself?

Is the lawyer just reacting to a ‘lost client’ situation?

How will this legally turn out if Natalie does insist on another lawyer?

Lots of questions, few answers.

I think Natalie is the first name of the lawyer.

I got the names mixed up with the daughter of Lorrene and Rulon that we were discussing yesterday. Good catch.

Thank you for correcting me.

: )

Texas Attorney General's Office attempted to serve the girl with a subpoena, but were unable to locate her.

This is from the Attorney General....nothing about she refused to come to the door, out of town, at the mall. They reported they couldn't find her. These are people that FIND people. This girl has a child? She is a child? Someone needs to find her. If she wants a new lawyer..more power to her...hard to know when she isn't around though.

I guess it will depend on whether the court accepts her letter as valid.

The girl is 16 years old. She is a minor child and cannot ‘ask’ for anything. Both the child’s attorney, Natalie Malonis, and her guardian ad litem, Connie Gauwain, were in agreement that a motion be filed asking for a restraining order against Willie Jessop. They thought it to be in the best interest of the child.

Willie the Thug wants a new lawyer for the girl - one that approves of the flds way of life. Are you an attorney? If so, you could volunteer your services.

Have you read post #49 yet?

It seemed to be clearer on what you are asking about.

Wouldn’t the guardian ad litem be the one that would have to file for a change of representation?
