Male kiss adds sauce to Heinz mayo ad

Heinz is set to challenge some viewer expectations with a light-hearted TV campaign that features two men sharing a kiss.

The TV commercial, which promotes a new range of dressing called Heinz Deli Mayo, breaks tonight and will be supported by a press campaign.

Heinz' new ad opens with a family on a normal morning routine with a young boy and girl getting ready for school and their father preparing for the office.

The young boy and girl go to the kitchen to get their sandwiches, which are being prepared by a man with a New York accent dressed in a deli serving outfit who they refer to as "mum".

When their father goes to get his sandwich he says to mum in the kitchen "See you tonight love".

However, mum barks back "Hey, ain't you forgetting something?", at which point the two men share a kiss. Mum then sends the father off with the words: "Love you. Straight home from work, sweet cheeks."

Obviously this product is so good it makes the “Mum” as great as a NY deli worker—I don’t think it’s supposed to represent a homosexual couple, but it’s still disgusting the way the media tries to portray this behavior as ‘normal’.

We’ve been boycotting Ta RAY Za’s products for several years now. Sticking with Hellman’s and Hunt’s instead!

The little girl calls one of the men "mum" The "wife" says don't be late sweet cheeks. It's obviously two homos living together raising children... you know, just like every normal family, and you just saw the kiss??

You're right, no agenda here.

Too bad there is only one Heinz 57 sauce. Great on baked potatoes or plain pasta or rice.

Did the part about the kids calling him “Mum” bother you at all ?

They'll test the ad in London and it'll be officially approved by the House of Bishops of the Church of England.

By the time it gets here it'll be a passionate deep tongue kiss and will be approved by the House of Obama of the Church of Reverend Wright.

I use Hellman's Mayo, the original and the best. I must say that mayo tasted much better and had a better texture when it was in glass jars rather than plastic.

I've tried Hunt's catsup and didn't like it. Heinz tastes the best. However, I'll keep looking for a substitute. Some of our supermarkets here have excellent house brands.

Remember when you shop:

Give Heinz the kayo
Hold the mayo!

There’s lots of cultures where the men hold hands and kiss each other on the lips and there’s nothing homosexual about it. I’m sure somewhere in England there’s gay marketing/advertising execs who think they’re being subtle about this, that the product is sooooo good it will make “Mum” a professional sandwich maker.

Wow...that's quite a stretch if thats what you think after viewing that ad.

Glad you're not on the Supreme Court interpreting the Constitution and the law.

Dammit, I love their ketchup and Heinz57 sauce but I will be looking for another brand this weekend. Anyone recommend one that is similar to Heinz?

For ketchup, Hunts or Del Monte are OK. For steak sauce I like A1.
