Yes, I did. Good catch.

That's freaking awesome! Coincidentally, that episode of MST3K is one of my favorites and I just rented it from Netflix earlier this week. If I may make a suggestion, you should figure out a way to phonetically spelll that horrendous laugh of his and use it as your FR tagline.

Are you familiar with this new project the MST3K people are doing? I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but I've heard good things.

Thanks for the idea, I'll see what I can come up with. I'm not familiar with their new project, though. By the way, you can watch full episodes of MST3K on Youtube. Just search for the movie title at the Youtube site and enjoy the show, albeit in 6 to 10 minute segments. Here's my favorite Click

Oh, I’m guessing drugs played a part in her life.

That's exactly why all judges, police and teachers should be randomly drug tested regularly and routinely.

That should include members of Congress, and *all* others on the tax payer payrolls, at *every* government level.

Government has become totally incompetent and painfully expensive for the working class .

After that, reduce the size of government at every level by about 75 percent, swiftly eliminating millions millions of government positions. These people need to get real jobs, and stop being parasites, sucking the life out of those in the private sector.

That being said, this county in Texas, and those that allowed this neglect to occur, will pay big. Their positions should be the first eliminated, since it will the the tax payers that ultimately pay.

You might also be interested in this project Mike Nelson has been doing. This is pretty unique. He riffs on mainstream movies he can't get the rights to and provides commentary in audio only to synch up to the actual movie.

If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a total MST3K nerd.

Don’t you usually get a Denver Boot on your car for unpaid tickets, rather than stewing in stir?

That should teach her not to drive on the government roads.

I don’t know about Texas, where this ocurred, but in California if you have unpaid traffic tickets they go to warrant. If you are pulled over and have outstanding warrants, you go to jail. Simple as that.

How nice for California.

If California had decided to become another country a decade or so ago (as it should have), the rest of us wouldn't be putting up with your B.S.

she was jailed for driving without a license.

Even more tragic that this happened in a country that fought wars and experienced decades of civil unrest over the right to travel.

I hope her surviving family sues and gets the county treasury for a few years. They can name a couple of buildings after her as well. The police that neglected her also should face wrongful death charges, or whatever is applicable for this circumstance.

When you dont pay the fine you go to jail. Is that a tragedy? What if it had been multiple times and she was still driving, is that a tragedy? Its the law.

She then screams "Im gonna slit my wrists" and ends up in more dire straits.

Tragic? maybe for her family, but not all the fault of our country or the system.

Yes looking her up and makign her pay bail too will ensure you’ll get your money.

It is sad to see the money-making scam of traffic tickets has cost a woman her life.

So Impy what do you do when someone drives without a license? Ask them not to? Rediculous.

In your perfect world someone who chose to not pay the fine gets repeated requests from the state and then every one just forgets about it...but of course you learned your lesson and will never drive illegally again.

In the real world if you dont punish the crime then theres no sense in having the law. Hell lets all drive drunk !

The article first states she was jailed for unpaid parking tickets. Then later it states she was jailed for driving without a license. I will then assume she lost the license due to failure to pay the tickets.

Parking tickets are a money making scheme. I don’t not blame her at all for not wanting to pay this extortion. More money for them to waste. When the government only spends what it should and officers are not given quotas for the number of tickets they must write then I might support the idea of a fine to discourage poor parking choices.

If a “law” is not just I have no use for it. Please save the law and order pontification.

Must be nice being able to decide which laws you will obey and which you wont.

Talk about pontification.

People in this country have a right to peaceably travel.

If you don't like that, I don't know what to say.

People dont have a right to drive a vehicle, sorry. Its a giant problem with illegals driving with no license or insurance, hitting people then getting off scot free. They can travel on bike or horse or trained elk I dont give a rats ass. If you dont understand that I dont know what will help you.

You got a permit to ride that horse? Has it been properly fed and vaccinated? what sort of living conditions are you keeping it in? and who pray tell is going to pick up the poop when you ride it down the street?

This poor woman died from MRSA, don’t you have any idea how deadly that disease is and the type of suffering she went through before she died?

It kills 37% of all that get it but is 100% deadly if left untreated.
