WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The head of the U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee on Thursday said Congress should examine Countrywide Financial Corp's mortgage loans to Democratic Sens. Christopher Dodd and Kent Conrad.

"My view is that these allegations should be considered by the appropriate bodies, and I understand that the Senate Ethics Committee has already begun to look into the matter," Rep. Barney Frank, a Massachusetts Democrat, said in a statement.

Well he said they “should” investigate... that’s good enough for Democrats.

I wish there was a list of all members of congress that received loans from Country Wide then any of them that criticized Country Wide should resign.

What a riot. I wonder what the outcome of the “investigation” will be?

Mr. Frank is familiar with investigations concerning personal conduct, isn’t he?

They are DEMOCRATS, so by today’s Media rules, they CANNOT commit Corruption, no matter how corrupted they are.

And any further mentions of this will be attributed to the “Right-Wing Hate Machine”, and minimalized...

I can’t remember. Did Rep. Frank vote for or against the special prosecutor law?

Were Dodd and Conrad the only members of Congress that had dealings with Countrywide Financial Corp? Or are they the only ones we know about?

Inquiring minds want to know.

My guess.......no! I think that's why Congress has been so quiet about this. Have you heard the Republicans yelling about it? I haven't, but I don't watch the news very often, so I don't know for sure. Of course the RATS won't yell about it because they're all on the take.

No, and No. See the parenthetical title of the thread and notice the reference to the "Countrywide Six". There are six DEMOCRAT congress critters up to their ears in this scandal.
