"Can you believe these socialist marxist scum??? "Marxine Waters and Hussein Obama should include the natural gas industry in that; it hit $13/MBTU.
Well, heck, they might as well go for it all. Campaign to nationalize all private property and distribute it according to ones need.

I think the democrats are angry with the oil companies because the oil companies made a pre-emptive spike in retail prices to get the jump on the "global warming fuel tax" that they see coming. Now the guvment cant spike fuel with a "save the earth tax" for quite a while because the retail price is maxxed out
har har ...if a nuke strike ever slips in, I hope it hits the hall of congress first

Kelo just expanded the government’s power to take whatever they want. It did not absolve the government of the obligation to pay “just compensation.” But who gets to determine how much is "just compensation" ? The government does. And there is nothing preventing them from declaring that $.01 is "just compensation."

Time to invest in the horse-and-buggy industry. They'll ban that too. "Exploitation of animals."

I really think this is nothing more than election year rhetoric. Once they realizize that they will irritate one of their biggest supporters (i.e. unions), I think they'll reconsider. Believe me, they'd much rather negotiate with the private sector, than an as a government employee.
Still, not a good time to in or an investor in Big Oil.

I call on the House democrats to be nationalized and go pick up all the trash left by illegal aliens on our southern border for the rest of their term and thereafter. While wearing orange woolen jumpsuits in the broiling southwestern sun. Under supervision of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

I second your call.
Failing that, I move for the impeachment of every Congressperson who refuses to allow the development of our own oil reserves on the grounds that by their obstruction they have endangered and are further endangering our nation’s economic and military survival.

Maurice Hinchey, D-NY (in order words, communist ahole, NY)
member of the House Appropriations Committee and one of the most ardent opponents of offshore drilling, made this stupid comment:
“We (the government) should own the refineries. Then we can control how much (gas) gets out into the market.”
Yeah, right....like the government can run ANYTHING better than the private sector.
To: Freedom'sWorthIt
I’d be delighted if they were impeached. But that would probably have to come from their colleages, and there are too many “reach across the aisle” RINOs. 1789, mass marches with torches, pitchforks, tar and feathers would get the job done faster. This is the worst Congress I can remember in my lifetime, and I’ve seen some pretty bad ones. But this RAT & RINO Congress is the worst. Look at the polls, they rate lower among the American people than the President, and his numbers are lower than a rattlesnake’s belly button.

Yes agreed - it is the worst - the most socialistic, Marxist, anti-American, anti-Freedom, anti-free enterprise, anti-national security - the most damaging destructive greedy corrupt group of “lawmakers” this nation has had in power - in my memory - and I am not a young chicken.
Of course the RINO’s are part of this damaging crew.
There are some conservative Republicans who still do their constitutional duty well....and I salute them.
The rest - well - as I think William Buckley once said - that if we took the first hundred people in any phone book and put them in the US Senate - they would do a better job that what is there.....same for the several hundred in Cogress.....
Congress is killing this country!
