Norm

My brother-in-law is substituting for as a pit crew boss for some car at this race. I am not a Nascar fan so not sure who the driver is but will find out and post the info. This opportunity is the dream job he has always wanted...we are so happy for him and so proud.

Will post later with details. BTW while he is not a Freeper he is a conservative guy who loves his family, country and Nascar!

After last Friday’s “Come to Jesus” drivers only meeting, I doubt any driver will complain about the COT. (BTW, the ONLY time I root for Flash is when he’s on my fantasy team)

One of my son’s employees weaseled himself onto a pit crew this weekend also. I’ll find out today which league or which team but my guess would be what they used to call the Winston West Series. He runs a car on the local 3/8 mile track and has a NASCAR license...

Cool! Good luck to him and his team! Please pass on any details you are free to share, it should be pretty nice weather-wise this week-end.

That sounds like the Casey Mears team, he runs a #5 car in both the Sprint and Nationwide series. I think it’s a Hendricks operation tho. Good luck and have fun anyway..

Thanks for the ping! I'll try and be around the PC during the race this week. Lately, I've been multi tasking during Sunday sports, and don't even take the laptop rig in the living room. This'll be a good weekend to do that.

GO BOBBY - 43 !!!!!!

I talked to “Joe” today and he said he signed on to the Bill McKinally organization out of Sacramento Ca who fields 3 teams. He is not sure which of the two NAPA Toyota cars of Moses Smith and Peyton Sellers or Eric Holmes sponsored by Haas Pool Products he will work for. The race starts at 12 Sat and is on Pay Per View channel 718 here in Eureka.

note...I am not responsible for the accuracy of the above statement...

Good one!

Some of the people at NASCAR actually seem to believe that if the drivers and the media weren't telling the fans that it's bad when cars can't pass each other the fans would actually believe that.
