In February of 2007 a small group named the Tennessee Center for Policy Research published an interesting little story that made Al Gore, the king of global warming alarmism, look a tad foolish. The report that TCPR sent out showed that Al Gores own home was an energy hog. The TCPR report revealed that Al Gores Tennessee mansion used more energy each month than the average American household uses in an entire year. In a response to this report, Gore claimed that he was diligently working to make his home more green, but now it looks like Gore is being gored again because a year down the line his energy use hasnt gone down. It hasnt even stayed level. It actually increased by 10%. How will the media handle this bloated increase despite Gores claims of trying to improve?
In 2007, to a sensational reception the TCPR noted that the Gore family burned through energy at an amazing rate saying, Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gores average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.
Not long after, Gore answered his critics on the website of Think Progress, an extreme website run by the Center for American Progress and funded by left-winger George Soros.

I don’t care how much energy he uses. And I expect him not to care about how much I or anyone else uses.
But he does care about how much energy you (and everyone else) use so Goreing his Ox is fair game. He deserves every bit of criticism levelled at him.
I agree with you. With that established, the problem is that he does care how much you use. And he intends to make sure you pay dearly for the privilege of heating your home in winter.
P.S. If you don't know what goatse is, don't look it up. You've been warned.
It's up there with the fire-breathing Gore or the Rosie O'Donnel Sheik Mohammed.
I thought last year he said that they had done improvements to his house to improve energy efficiency. And, he also said he was buying carbon credits so that his home would be carbon neutral.
So if this becomes a big story again, I expect he will say he bought enough carbon credits to reduce his carbon footprint.
why doesn’t he just be honest and say that because he’s a world class Guru of Global Warming, that he deserves more creature comforts than us peons, because he has to go out there every day and save the world.

That’s a very interesting point. I agree 100% I am sick of al gore and the whole carbon offset nonsense.
Doesn’t he own the company that sells the offsets? I thought I heard that somewhere.
Ohh WOE is me... whys everybody pickin on me???
One of the ways that cops spot people that are growing pot hydroponically is by excessive power usage. Maybe someone shoud check - it would explain a lot.
Because I’m a IDIOT scammer.
It's completely safe to suggest it won't show up on NBC.
I also cannot understand carbon credits. If one is truly trying to reduce carbon foot prints why in the world would you sell what you don't use to someone who uses all of his. Why not take the unused footprints away thereby reducing the total amount of foot prints left on the planet?
Gore is a typical liberal - do as I say, not as I do.
