Tom Tancredo said, "Immigration is a significant cause of Colorado's increase in child poverty." Colorado leads the nation in child poverty yet has only 4.6 million people - except - the state houses as many as 695,000 illegal aliens. Colorado schools suffer 43 different languages, which cause havoc in classrooms. "It's irresponsible for the media and the governor to not recognize the fact that immigration is largely to blame for this increase," Tancredo said. "If Colorado were actually enforcing its own laws, we would reduce the number of people in the poverty category." However, Governor Bill Ritter (D) refuses to enforce H.B. 1023. The legislature passed that law in 2006 to fine and imprison employers of illegal aliens. Ritter won't enforce it while Colorado taxpayers shell out $1.1 billion annually for all the services for illegal aliens and their children! "The research is clear," Tancredo said. "An increase in immigration leads to an increase in poverty. If we truly want to do something about poverty in Colorado and our nation, we must stop importing poverty. We must begin enforcing the laws, primarily against hiring illegal aliens. They overload schools, hospitals and prisons."

Political correctness does not allow us to discuss this type of situation in a frank manner. We’re not supposed to discuss that so many illegals are living in poverty, or what should be done about them. Yes we’re supposed to celebrate diversity. I prefer celebrating that America is multi-ethnic, not multi-cultural. It’s fine that our ancestors came from all over the world and that America has been a melting pot. It’s not good that we collectively have decided to import service workers from other countries, and have them live and work here illegally.
Americas standard of living needed to be kicked down a few notches to put it more in line with 3rd world countries. It makes their globalism much more appealing and profitable for the ruling elite. Why else would any country stand by and watch their entire system, from their electoral process, socially, and economically being undermined and compromised by tens of millions entering illegally? During war time yet.
A government that will not secure and protect it's own sovereign, legitimate borders will itself eventually become illegitimate.
This is likely the plan.
Not only the illegal aliens but the legal ones are filled with disease, and are sucking off the system.
We need to raise our standards.
The next time you drive past a group of obvious day workers, pay particular attention of who you DON'T see standing there looking for work. Why? They've learned over the years how to milk the federal and state entitlement systems and programs to avoid working.
I'm all for eliminating illegal immigration, but our biggest problem (and one that we're not permitted to discuss) has been encroaching on American productivity and adding to the entitlement tax burden for 44 years.
Wow, you are one scary creep.

Said better than I could.

No I just work in healthcare. There are anumber of legal immagrints who have resettled in the states with the help of do gooders who have brought diseases such as west nile TB and other communical diseases. Now that they are anchored they bring all their ill and elderly relatives.
