Fantastic. I wish truckers in the DC area, or driving through, would do the same thing! It would be even better if they didn't deliver anything to Congress.....maybe Congress would wise up and go home.

Absolutely! Truckers get 90% of all products to consumers. They certainly have even more at stake than the rest of us, who better to call attention to this crisis. And YES it is a crisis!
Every other country goes and gets the oil their economies need, and yet we, the most free and rich nation on earth, do not!

Albany is the capital, it's where all the legislators hold their special interest fundraisers and see thier girlfriends. If they were promoted to governor, they could fly out of state to rent their girlfriends.
More seriously, I'm glad to see truckers coming together on the issue, though I would think that a more critical city would be a better target. Like Washington, DC (which is really the source of the oil price/energy issue anyway).

Fantastic. I wish truckers in the DC area, or driving through, would do the same thing! They already do every monday through friday. It's called the beltway.

Hope it works — throwing tea into the bay isn’t going to do it this time.

What would they surround in NYC? I would think that the other buroughs would just go on with their business.

As long as the legislature is in session, no man’s life liberty or property is safe. Incidentally, 6-19 is the second to last day of the legislative session, 6-23 being the last. Anything bad for Albany is good for the state.

Do you have a better method that you are carrying out? Finally, someone is doing something! Go truckers aAnd put a big sign on your trucks that reads - DRILL NOW!

Good Luck. I work across the street from the capitol, so this should be cool. Of course shutting down sate government is another matter. It's hard to shut down, what ain't running in the first place.

What would they surround in NYC? I would think that the other buroughs would just go on with their business. 10 rigs "broke down" 3-5 abreast at each of the following the George, Lincoln, Holland, Verizano, Queens Midtown Tunnel, BQE and maybe a few other spots will snarl traffic for 10 miles in every direction, including in Manhattan.

I think that oil companies making 5 cents a gallon profit yet big government making 40 cents a gallon is stupid. I've heard stories that private gas station owners are only making a few cents profit on a gallon of gas, but I would doubt that this is the case with the oil companies.
If the profit margin on the entire business of drilling and refining were only 1%, the oil companies would go into another line of work. It's obviously in their interest to poormouth as much as possible at the present time.
