Why is it so difficult for them to conceive of a black man in charge of America? The answer is quite simple. When Chinese people think of America, they think of the color white. Chinese women use umbrellas in the sun to keep their pale skin while both Chinese men and women try to change their hair color to blond or at least something lighter. Chinese people know all about Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Britney Spears, and the Backstreet Boys but not so much about Bill Cosby, Martin Luther King, and Oprah Winfrey. The fact that someone other than a white man could be sitting in the Oval Office come January seems to come as a surprise to many here.

The Butchers Of Bejing currently running China are ready for him. They know that they’ll be able to play that lightweight like a fiddle.
It is interesting. I remember back in the late ‘80s or early ‘90s, I was in Glasgow and a guy asked me when we were going to have a black president. I told him as soon as they got a Pakistani PM. I thought they guy was going to kill me, he really went off. In all my travels, I’ve come to the conclusion that just about every country has some ethnic group that they denigrate.
The Chinese do not like competition from non Chinese communists.
Is he running for president there, too?
That really sounds kinda strange to me. Now I’ve never visited a foreign country but I would think that most peoples impressions of America come from our media which most of the times show how diverse the US is.
If they watch Yao Ming then they know that the NBA is mostly black, they bootleg all our movies so they know that many of our movie stars are black. When their government deals with the US government it all goes though Condi Rice.
And I don’t know where they get the idea that Asians are treated as 3rd class citizens. I know from experience that the biggest problem Chinese parents have with their children going to school in the US is convincing them to come back.
Now I dislike Obama as much as the next guy but that won’t stop me from relishing America putting an Obama presidency in the worlds face when they accuse us of being racist.
The real question: Is Barak Obama ready for China?
