None of the minerals the beads were made from came from the immediate vicinity of the sites. Some were mined from as far afield as northern Syria, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia

Highly developed aesthetic senses. Whether or not they considered them "lucky" seems baseless speculation at which we are very talented.

Thanx for post-interesting article.”The onset of agriculture brought on demographic changes such as higher birth rates,but also higher child mortality.”Not sure i follow the logic of that statement.I’d think the switch from hunter/gatherer to farming would provide a safer environment which in turn would result in a decrease in child mortality.
