I know, I should have put on a sarcasm alert.

What they want is to ban is all guns and ammo that can penetrate Democrats and leftist Marxist body armor.

Yep, what OK is doing is a hopeful sign. MT also recently fired a warning shot about the 2nd amd specifically.

I remember that. Something about their participation in the Union was predicated upon their Rights being held inviolate, particularly the Right of MT's Citizens to the tools of Self Defense.

This God's forsaken State I live in couldn't even get a common sense Castle doctrine law passed.

We've still got options there though. Time will tell that tale.

Rep. Mark Kirk, (R) Illinois

Once again we see that the GOP isn't a friend to gun owners. I sometimes wonder if we'd be better off with Democrats. Better the knife in front of you than your "friend's" knife sticking out of your back.

We're at a tipping point. Let's see which way we fall...

sadly, the past lack of diligence by 'the People' has emboldened these bastards to a point of no return...

at this point IMO there is really no way to reverse the hunger of our servants, they will continue throwing this sh!t against the wall till it sticks...only then will we really see if the country fades into the night or puts up a fight...

LFOD...

LFOD...

First two letters are what I'm trying to do. I really don't want it to come to the last two, but there are worse things that can happen to a person.

Agreed, all Im tryin to do is work and enjoy my family & friends, but even as I try to stay small and under the radar, my servants come from all angles, almost daily, to intrude on my serenity and prosperity...

my true fear is that I wont be able to get my kids outta the way of the oncoming wave of terror from my benevolent masters...

NO cattle cars here folks...

“You can hear these populist devils already sharpening their knives in anticipation.”

Now isn’t that just like a Liberal...brings a knife to a gun fight.

Uhhhh...better change that “1968” date back to sometime in the 1930’s...

1927 and 1934, just at the federal level. Some gun laws go back much farther. New Yorks Sullivan law, and anti concealed carry laws in the South, the former aimed at "immigrants", like the Irish and Italians, the latter at newly freed Blacks.

The '27 law banned mailing of concealable firearms. (that is "too small") the '34 law (NFA) put a prohibitive tax on machine guns, short barreled shotguns and rifles, and other "other weapons" (that is too big or firing too fast).

The "R" stands for "repellent."

I thought it stood for "repugnant"?

they're fun to shoot but really not a very accurate rifle

More accurate for most shooters than a .357 wheel gun. Inherent accuracy matters little, field accuracy matters a lot. I have terrible eyes, but I can hit a 16 oz water bottle at 50 yards pretty consistently with my "War Baby". That's accurate enough for the urban battle. Now it's a bit wimpy, but the low recoil means you can get a lot of hits quickly. I've fired the full auto M2 version, but only one magazine. Couldn't keep 3 rounds on the target, which was a whole lot closer than 50 yards, and lots bigger than a even a two liter soda bottle, probably could improve that a lot with practice, it's owner could do much better.

i've spent alot of time with revolvers, so for me, yeah, an m1 that i can hold a 3-4" group with doesn't really compare to a revolver shooting the same group.
at fifty yards, if i can't get touching groups with a rifle, i'm not very interested.
for example:

.35 remmington, 50 yards. i've tried 4 m1s and haven't had one that even came close to a group like that.
