I suspect McCain will get crushed. The only bright side I can see is, due to his age, he won’t run for President again.

IMO, Obama is highly unlikely to get more than 200 electoral votes. I’ll even bet a 6 pack on that.

McCain needs Romney on the ticket to get MI into the win column.

I’d make McCain a slight favorite right now. He’s ahead in Ohio, Michigan, and Florida, and competitive in Pennsylvania.

So who is the standard bearer? Reagan lost to Ford but then came back and took over. THe same for Romney? Maybe Jidahl? Any bright lights out there?

Yeah, it’s starting to look that way. Obama has never been weaker than he is right now, and he’s still winning. Once the media starts in on McCain, he’ll lose 10 points in the polls. Unless McCain finds some video of Obama killing puppies or something, it’ll be a landslide.
