Its official. There will be no more argument from the Democrats about the success of the troop surge. Their plan is to bury their error in judgment in a larger fabricated argument about American hegemony. Not only is Barack Obama acknowledging progress in Iraqhes now pleased with it. And he let Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari know as much when the two spoke by telephone earlier today. However if youre a Democrat, a smidgen of U.S.-praise must come with a heaping pile of but. Heres Obama on his talk with Zebari:

All good fun... but now it’s time to go. Don’t worry... we can go back and do it all over again at a higher cost.
...but also insisted that it is important for us to begin the process of withdrawing U.S. troops, making it clear that we have no interest in permanent bases in Iraq.
Hey Obama...you're not in a position to call the shots right now (thank God.)
Let's keep it that way, shall we?
McCain and the GOP talking heads MUST repeat every day from now till November:
“”What was the Democratic alternative to Iraq??
I’ll tell you. They had none. If left in office, Saddam Hussein would STILL be harboring Abu Nidal, Abu Abazz, and Abu ?? — they would STILL be funding Hamas and Hezbollah, and they would STILL be exporting lethal toxins like anthrax and nerve gas.””
McCain has got to stop being defensive, and they must DEMAND that Obama tell us specifically how he would have defanged the world wide terror networks.
No more vague answers of “we must build up our coalition” and other mis-direction baloney.
The worldwide terror networks have been decimated and largely defanged — and McCain and the GOP should run on that.
This is what liberals are saying on the blogs:
“McCain will be for years of the same we’ve been having for the last eight. The Republican party has done more damage in eight years than even I ever believed was imaginable.”
How do we respond to that?

Ummmm.... Hussein, yes we do you moron. Ever look at a map of Iran? Iraq on the left, Afghanistan on the right. There might be a pattern there you idiot.
And have that parroted by every Obamaniac MSM drone in the country. We're past the point of truth or even serious discussion here, folks, and off into liberal fantasy-land. Again.
Agreed, but don't count on it. Our side absolutely SUCKS at countering the lefts BS.
While you’re redrawing the map, how about giving Kurdistan direct access to the Mediterranean, as claimed in the Kurdish web site? http://www.akakurdistan.com/kurds/stories/index.html And transferring western Turkey to Greece, as proposed in the aftermath of WWI? (GrecoTurkish War of 19191922) The Greeks can decide whether their capital will be Athens or Constantinople.
I’m not a cartologist. I lifted that map from the internet. Probably got the wrong one to make my point. Sorry if you don’t like it. Feel free to report me to the mods.
Their alternative was for us to crawl on all fours to the UN jacka%$es whose indecision, duplicity, and incompetence put us in the cross hairs to begin with!...AND will again if we give them a chance.
How do we respond to that? Challenge them to get specific. Is 6 years of economic growth bad? Is 4-5%unemployment bad? Is seven years w/o a terrorist attack bad? Are two successful wars, overturning two violent dictorship governments bad? Get specific? What 'liberties' were taken away? Where did Bush infringe on rights?

It’s NOT then “audacity of hope”. It’s just plain AUDACITY. Even when he has been humbled he reeks of pompous elitism!
Dont worry... we can go back and do it all over again at a higher cost.
Nah, ICBMs are quicker and cost much less, unless you live in Tehran.
The President never tagged Kerry with it but anyone who said we needed to bring the French and Germans on board was following Saddam's script. He was convinced France's perfidity would keep him safe from invasion. As his vile son said: "Bush is not Clinton. This is really the end."
