Governor Deval-ued
Bob Parks: Black & Right ^ | 6/16/08 | Bob Parks

I know it's Monday morning, but I'm finding it hard to get my bearings today.

We, here in Massachusetts, were assured by electing Mr. Together-We-Can Deval Patrick governor, we be enjoying a new day. However, our days are a nightmare.

Deval Patrick was the one who came into office claiming our state was in a bad financial situation. Yet, the independently wealthy Deval didn't forgo his salary like Mitt Romney and Kerry Healey did when they took office. Instead, he upgraded his car, started accumulating frequent flier miles on a state police helicopter, got his wife an unnecessary chief of staff, and decided to redecorate his office with expensive furnishings at our expense.

Deval Patrick has proven himself to be a liberal's liberal and a Democrat's Democrat. He sees our tax dollars as play money that can be thrown at anything to help him live a life of luxury.

All the country has to do is to look at the wonderful job Coupe Deval has done here in MA to get the picture of what Osama will do for the country. In other words...not a damn thing.

I'll be surprised if Osama wins this state my more then 5 points come November. Remember, every popular vote Johnny Mac gets is one more that he can use to ‘legitimize’ his victory.

“Yet, the independently wealthy Deval didn’t forgo his salary like Mitt Romney and Kerry Healey did when they took office.”

LOL, doesn’t he have a monthly mortgage payment to the tune of 28 large?

His days of shaking down corporations are over (or on hold) so he has to pay the bills somehow.

Or, quite literally, we pay the bills for him.

There was a survey the other day, on on the of the radio shows. It asked whether or no Deval should take an Obama Administration job, if offered. Everyone one I talked to would be thrilled to see him go. And not one of them knew who the LT Gov is....

Just leave. We'll be fine!

LS: You said Bob is a bit of a wild man for politics, I agree, just what Mass needs, in my opinion.

Go Bob.

And for the record, the Lt. Gov is former Worc. mayor Tim
Murray, who was nicknamed “Lefty” by Howie Carr not necc.
because of his politics. During his swearing in, he was asked
to raise his right hand and he raised his southpaw.

Deval Patrick is responsible for the subprime mortgage fiasco.

Not making loans to the unqualified was “racist”, and he was threatening bringing federal force to bear if they didn’t change their ways.

Obama will win MA by 10 points or more for a very simple reason. He has a “D” after his name. That is all it takes to win in MA. It is totally irrelevant what Deval does here. There is no Republican party here to speak of and there are enough academics, Kennedy lovers, condescending elitists, students and people on welfare to ensure that the “D” will win. This is just one of the truisms of life in the foreseeable future here. I am an optimistic conservative (non-McCain supporter) in MA and have come to this conclusion. I give money to out of state conservative congressional candidates and get on phone banks to voters in NH / OH / FL. It is a complete waste of time to invest any time. money or emotion in GOP politics in MA.

Obama will never have to campaign here and he will win in a landslide. The only state north of D.C. that our RINO McCain could win is NH.

LS: If Bob did not live in Western Mass, I would have rented him a place in Essex County just to shake up the Rhinos. He is Black and right and He can say things that I can't because I am White and right and he does.

Your a Historian, our Revolution was started by people who were as out spoken as Bob.

Really? Is he related to Bob Mugabe?

I am actually OK with Deval focusing on his book deal. The less time he spends doing his job the less damage he will do to the state. I am all for extending the vacation for Congress and Senate so they do less. With rare exception, most laws screw up the life of productive citizens.

Whatever money Deval makes on his stupid book about his sham life is a lot cheaper for the citizens of MA than if we actually did his so called job.

The more amazing thing is people stupid enough to buy this guy's book. He is purely an affirmative action beneficiary and has no accomplishments to speak of. Classic case of guilty white liberals assuaging their guilt.

“our Revolution was started by people who were as out spoken as Bob.” Well, yes and no. Don’t forget that Sam Adams never RAN for anything, and never held office. It was the more “moderate” voices-—Washington, Adams, even Jefferson (who was hardly a firebrand in terms of leading the masses) who eventually held office.

LS: Sam Adams was rather out spoken, I think that he might have run for office in todays political climate, not that he would get elected in todays Boston.

Moderate in todays speak is a might different than moderate in 1775. Jefferson spoke out of both side out both sides of his mouth, French School, Adams was a whoose, English school. The Founders hammered out a compromise that said essentially said," Government get out of my face."

Good points all. But the fact that Hillary! won the primary here, despite the Coupe's kinship with Osama gives a tiny tiny relief.

As far as the electoral votes go, I would say it's possible that JM could score one of Maine's EV. I know that southern Maine has become mostly leftist, but I don't see the Downeast Yankees voting for Osama. That one vote could make a difference. Just my $0.02.
