When the movie first came out, I thought it would trash the Queen, but it's surprisingly fair. After seeing it, I was more sympathetic to both the Queen and Tony Blair.
There's a great scene where Blair defends the Queen to his staff. Very well done.

I had the same before an after reactions to the movie. Of course, I’m old enough to remember her before she married, so knew she is a solid person.
The problem is that most judge people without really knowing what they are really about - this is especially true when judging older people - there are many people who have done remarkable things over the years - and have risen to the challenge when hard times come knocking.
The Queen is one of these...
