This is truly a tragedy. Our grandson is in the NG. He worked for hours on the levee in DM only to see it break. So far today he has been sent from DM to Columbus Junction to Burlington where when they arrived, the levee broke. That was just very recently. I had the call about 1/2 hr. ago. I’m not sure where they send him next.

Shucks. Stay dry. I'm not sure of the ramifications of the levee breach in Burlington. Actually, we're not getting that much info here in the western part of the state regarding the eastern part of the state.

We're hearing consistently that CR is extremely hard hit and we've heard a bit about IC but nothing about the Quad Cities or Burlington or Columbus Junction.
