You used too many words. The Sheep will never read it.

Besides, “Dancing with the American Idols who Want to be Millionaires at the High School Musical” is on...

Bill Lind goes waaaaaaaaaay to deep into the minutia of p.c. and Marxism. (Even though p.c. IS Marxism)

Political Correctness in the U.S. started when that first 'Hate Crime' law was passed. And when that first group gets special 'protected status' - the lid's off. Then every 'oppressed minority group' wants on the Hate Crime bandwagon. Then when almost everything is a hate crime, you HAVE TO watch you p's and q's. Ergo you have Political Correctness because you can't tell the truth or freely speak your opinion. One Example - the Marxist Southern Poverty Law Center and there bs list of 'hate groups'.

And that first Hate Crime law wasn't passed to 'protect' Norwegian Lutherans, Pennsylvania Amish, Irish Catholics, or Arabs from Morocco.

“Political correctness” is tyranny with a happy face.

What you said bears repeating. I added it to my Post-it collection. Is this your own observation or is it a quotation?

Actually it is not forgotten. My Daughter is going to the Culinary Institute up in Poughkeepsie and in her Bachelor's program for restaurant and business management, 1984 is required reading. She also had to do a paper on the effects of socialism on the business world.

Political correctness is a strategy for commandeering the cultural discourse. The theory, as espoused by people like Antonio Gramsci and Noam Chomsky, is that preventing the vocalization of certain ideas causes the ideas themselves to atrophy and eventually die. So by forcing us to pretend that homosexuality is "normal" and that abortion is not murder, and that "affirmative action" is not racism, we are supposed to grow to accept that up is down, left is right, and strong is weak.

Fortunately, psycholinguistics has proven to largely be a crock of rose fertilizer. And Noam Chomsky is an idiot.

Political correctness is a tool liberals use to blunt the opinions of the majority. They use it to advance their filthy agenda and label all opposition as racist.

“What you said bears repeating. I added it to my Post-it collection. Is this your own observation or is it a quotation?”

I recall hearing from someone before ... it’s not an original saying by me but I wish it were.

“Where does all this stuff that you’ve heard about this morning—the victim feminism, the gay rights movement, the invented statistics, the rewritten history, the lies, the demands, all the rest of it—where does it come from?”

The two-word answer is, “From Satan.”

I feel compelled to return to this thread because it is perhaps the most important post of the day.

You are right.

Unfortunately, you will observe, the posts ran out rather quickly - the Sheeple sleep.

To get a thread read, I have observed, the title must contain one or more of the following words: O.J., Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, ,,, well, you get the picture

The HTML empty blocks forced me directly to the source; I know the spelling police are generally hated around here but in reading this whole piece the two instances of ‘where’ being spelled ‘were’, the dropped ‘r’ from ‘your’ bothered me and gave me pause; however, the use of ‘throws’ for ‘throes’ threw me over the edge.

I have one word for this would-be philosopher - EDIT!

“I have one word for this would-be philosopher - EDIT!”

Some people think this sort of thing should be overlooked, but it is undeniable that errors in spelling, punctuation, word-use, and syntax undermine one’s credibility as intelligent and edumacationized.

I read Atlas Shrugged in the 70s which is probably a major reason I became a conservative. Conserving that which is good while rejecting contemporary drivel with a personal political agenda passing as a new idea, hope, or change for the worst possible outcome.

I posted Better Dead Than Rude several days ago on the the subject of PC.

A few of my favorite clips over the years:

Norman Thomas, a socialist instrumental in founding the Civil Liberties Union (now ACLU):

The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened.”

===

The ACLU's founder Roger Nash Baldwin was a CPUSA (Communist Party of the USA) Stalinist. He summed up nicely what his expectations were for the ACLU in his advice to Louis Lochner of the socialist People's Council in Minnesota in 1917:

"Do steer away from making it look like a Socialist enterprise...We want also to look like patriots in everything we do. We want to get a good lot of flags, talk a good deal about the Constitution and what our forefathers wanted to make of this country, and to show that we are really the folks that really stand for the spirit of our institutions."

===

Political Correctness is intellectual AIDS. Everything it touches it sickens and eventually kills. On America's college campuses it has diminished freedom of speech, warped curricula, politicized grading and replaced intellectual integrity with vapid sloganeering. In classroom after classroom, professors offer an ideological rant, which students are compelled to regurgitate to get a grade: the vomit returns to the dog. These places--and they are many--are no longer universities, but small, ivy-covered North Koreas.

===

Mark Steyn writes:

In a scrupulously politically correct age, it's not offensive to organize a "Kill the police!" demo or to preach that the government invented Aids in order to perpetrate an African-American genocide. You can pull that stuff and still be part of respectable society, hanging out with presidential candidates and whatnot. What's grotesquely offensive is the chap who's insensitive enough to point out such statements and associations.

You got that right. There is nothing behind liberalism its a thin sheet of paper with crudely written slogans, like “Celebrate Diversity” without so much as a thought behind it. But ask of liberals of their “liberalism” the right questions and it all vanishes.

For those of us who actually believe in the bible, jesus life was not without heckling and persecution, so why should Obama be anymore special than Jesus?

Nicely noted Old Professor. I simply copied and pasted the post directly from the website (it is my first post) so I was not sure exactly how the unseen HTML would be formatted. As for his grammatical errors, needless-to-say, I did not correct them. His points are still valid though, although they are tempered with poor grammatical structure.
