Political Correctness collapses is the face of inquiry, but it strengthens when it is mearly shrieked at. It and its attendant political liberalism are nothing but thin facades, nothing exists behind them but the ambition of evil people.

I first saw the phrase “politically incorrect” in an article in National Review, about 1970, about a summer camp run by Tom Hayden and Jane Fonda in their “Economic Democracy” days. The pedigree of the expression was, as I recall, Maoist. “Politically incorrect” was one of the phrases used to describe a thought that an inmate of the summer camp might express, if he had not yet completely absorbed the Maoist doctrine of the camp.

Really, really clueless: Those who have no clue what is really going on around them, hear a phrase like “politically correct,” and pick it up and use it as a substitute for “politically expedient.” I’ve heard many people complain about “political correctness” when all they mean is “expediency.”

You mean laziness, and a lack of curiousity towards the cult dogmas of the left, kind of like no one asking Obama any serious questions. PC is a religion of a cult type that revolves around the great leader or certain fables of the victim class of the day.

PC is straight out of the marxist, ancient monarchy, dictatorships’ handbook. George Orwell put it to paper in his classic novel, but now largely forbidden and ignored masterpiece, 1984. Read this grand piece of literature again and see the uncanny parallels and predictions this genius saw coming down the pike.

Laziness of the right is best epitomized by the “shriek and retreat” conservatism of the day that plays well in sound bites but never asks the serious questions of the left. But then again to most “respectable” conservatives they are friends and relations to the “liberals” so what can we expect.

It is my understanding that the term ‘politically correct’ came from the University of Wisconsin during the reign of terror of Donna Shalala (she was its president, I believe). About the hysteria over words, I never thought I’d say this, but where’s Lenny Bruce now that we need him?

Here is the last paragraph of the article it articulates one of the reasons why I sport my avatar:

In conclusion, America today is in the throws of the greatest and direst transformation in its history. We are becoming an ideological state, a country with an official state ideology enforced by the power of the state. In "hate crimes" we now have people serving jail sentences for political thoughts. And the Congress is now moving to expand that category ever further. Affirmative action is part of it. The terror against anyone who dissents from Political Correctness on campus is part of it. It’s exactly what we have seen happen in Russia, in Germany, in Italy, in China, and now it’s coming here. And we don’t recognize it because we call it Political Correctness and laugh it off. My message today is that it’s not funny, it’s here, it’s growing and it will eventually destroy, as it seeks to destroy, everything that we have ever defined as our freedom and our culture.

Political Correctness limits free speech, makes us less free as a people... but if you're going to write a think piece on it you can't put this in the first graph:
"For the first time in our history, Americans have to be fearful of what they say, of what they write, and of what they think."
Don't seem ignorant of history, it taints your whole argument.

Political Correctness is cultural Marxism...

PC - THE STEALTH WEAPON

This article should be saved in every computer, printed out, read and reread until we GET it.

We should be recommending, gifting Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged to everyone we know -

Written 51 years ago, it has sold over 5 million copies. It needs to be read by everyone by age 20.

( http://www.enotes.com/atlas-shrugged) " According to a 1991 Library of Congress report, it is considered the second most influential book after the Bible in the lives of its readers. A complex combination of mystery, love story, social criticism, and philosophical concepts, the 1,100 page novel embodies the author's passionate celebration of individualism, free will, capitalism, logic, and reason.

Set in an imaginary America in a communist world, Atlas Shrugged is a sharp critique of a corrupt communist system and its damaging effects on areas as various as love, science, and industrial productivity."

Rand was born and grew up in Russia during the Bolshevik Revolution. She knew the steps that lead to a country being taken over by Communism. (She taught Ronald Reagan well)...

She considered Atlas Shrugged her life's work and never wrote another line of fiction after it was published.

In the book, she weaves the steps of encroaching Marxist take-over of the USA into a rip-snorting novel with romance, intrigue, pirates, et al...so while enjoying a great read, the reader is also educated to recognize the signs of the Marxist's incremental machinations that finally render a country and it's people slaves to Communism.

I remember Kruschev banging his shoe on the UN podium in ""Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you...and we will not have to fire a shot." His time line was 50 years. They had a detailed list of steps to accomplish this goal. They have accomplished nearly 100% of that list...while the Sheeple sleep.

Here are a couple clips everyone should listen to carefully = the first one, in the UN, a repeat of Kruschev's threat and the reaction of others, including the answer by the then UN Sec. Gen., Doug Hammarskjold ((1953-1961) Mr. Hammarskjöld)- watch the pounding on the desks by the Soviet reps as the rest of the members applaud. Hammarskjold was perhaps the UN's last Sec. Gen. defender of freedom. He was 'killed' in 1961 - and the UN has gone downhill ever since.

"Two former United Nations officials said in a letter to a British newspaper this week that they believe gunfire from mercenaries caused the plane crash that killed Dag Hammarskjold, Secretary General of the United Nations, in 1961 in Africa

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F_V2fQCKe4

Atlas Shrugged" is finally being made into a movie - and was sheduled to hit the screens this spring - however, it has been delayed until sometime next year...well AFTER the election. Could it be that the powers that be - the Marxists in DC and their Comrades in Hollywood were afraid that too many people would watch and wake up?

It's a wonder the book, itself, is still allowed to be printed.....

Wake up, Sheeple

I feel compelled to return to this thread because it is perhaps the most important post of the day. It reveals that this new kind of Marxism is actually winning. Here is another article which says much the same from a different perspective and perhaps highlights the real threat which the Frankfurt School poses.
