I pray that he is replaced by another southerner with a constitution like himself and that the system then be speedily replaced by one with popular vote for the government so that the passing of a PM is not the occasion of worry over radical change in the fortunes of the country.

“Prime Minister Kiet is gone.”

Well, Jack, he WAS retired.

Isn’t it interesting that Vietnam has this vaunted medical care system, sorta like Cuba. Kiet was sick, so what did he do? He went to Singapore for health care. When Fidel was near death, what did he do? Consult the best that Cuba has in medicine? No, he flew in doctors from Spain.
