Agree. It seems the Mr. Russert was a fine man but his passing is being recognized in a manner which is way out of proportion.

I think I can sum up the concern of media is due to the fact that Tim Russert actually is irreplaceable by anyone else at the network. I can't think of a reason to consider them viable without Tim Russert...

I agree with your assessment. NBC News has no bench strength.

Richard Belzer look-a-like David Gregory lacks the testosterone to take on the job.

Andrea Mitchell may be afflicted with a brain degenerative disease as she seems to be getting stupider as she ages.

Chris Matthews should stay where he is on haMaSNBC spouting out his homoerotic Obama blather.

And if the choice came down to Oberfuherer, you'd lose 80% of your Sunday morning 'gets' and you'd be better off just outsourcing the job to some guy in India.

There is no way any reasonable person can find someone already with NBC News to fill the Meet the Press spot.

There fore I think NBC has to go beyond the new division and find someone on the network, people actually like... I guess their only real choice is
