Yes, I will agree that Jackie did exude class.......however, from stories related to me by my mother many years ago her “class” was for public show. Outside the public eye she was a Class A witch (with a b).
My mother was a showroom model for the couture house of Hattie Carnegie while JFK was in the Senate and the early part of his Presidential campaign. The Bouvier family were regular customers and extremely abusive of all the help, including the models and seamstresses. My mother absolutely hated to be the one to model for her.
Now that is impressive.
I've heard this also. My dad was a Marine in the 60's and knew someone who either was or had been a White House guard. This guy said she was a monster witch.
YOUR OBSERVATIONS ARE INTERESTING ABOUT JACKIE’S BEHIND THE SCENE BEHAVIOUR. THERE WERE STORIES ABOUT HER SPENDING ETC. BUT WHEN IT CAME TO EMBARASSING THE COUNTRY OR THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT AT LEAST SHE WAS SOMEWHAT CAREFUL. HOW ELSE COULD SHE HAVE BEEN SO ADMIRED AROUND THE WORLD AND HAVE OTHER HEADS OF STATE FALLING ALL OVER THEMSELVES FOR HER.
I’d believe it. Those ‘East Coast Elite’ are a breed unto themselves. ;)
