Last weekend Congressman Duncan Hunter came to Kansas to campaign with Jim. Rep. Hunter, a former Presidential candidate and Ranking Member of the Armed Services Committee, represents the 52nd District of California.
Rep. Hunter accompanied Jim and Team Ryun to a meet and greet in Wamego (thanks to all who helped organize it), a BBQ in Manhattan (thanks to the Addairs, our great hosts!) and even an afternoon of sporting clays. We had a great weekend of events and of course there are tons of pictures! If you had your picture taken over the weekend and would like a copy of it, just contact the campaign at info@jimryun.com. Here are a few for now:
On a personal note, the beautiful house that hosted the BBQ on Saturday night was destroyed in the tornado that hit Manhattan on Wednesday night. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dan and Lynne Addair and their entire family, as well as everyone affected by the terrible storms that night.

One of the last real men in Washington. Thank God his son will be there to take his place.

It’s really too bad he’s not sticking around though. But I do not beleive we’ve heard the last of this fine patriot.

All those who screamed “Name recognition” 6 months ago would recognize him now. Instead we have a recognized RINO and an impending loss.

I’m not so sure Mccain will lose, though if he wins, it will be because of the weak sister he’s running against.

He may have meant we still lose, regardless.

Yeah, conservatism loses regardless. But as odious as McCain is, he’s not a marxist. That said, he’s not getting my vote, since I’ve refused to help the GOP self destruct. They can do it on their own.

Hunter also spoke out against the Supreme Court decision on Gitmo.
Another issue Hunter has been ahead on from day one.

And he has consistently had to beat back McCain on shutting Gitmo, banning ‘torture’, bringing the terrorists to american soil, etc etc.

What a good guy. Too bad Ryun is running though. He went to Washington and forgot about Kansas. Boyda took his job because she hustled. No one here knows she is a far leftist in Washington. From her press releases here she comes across as a Reagan Democrat.
Ryun got lazy, had poor constituent services, and got flushed. I guess Hunter owed him something.

No. The press buried it just like her voting to make union votes public and her refusal to sign the discharge petition for the Broadcaster Freedom Act and her attempts to block missile defense in Poland and...well, you get the idea. She sends out press releases and has her picture taken at all the veteran gatherings.
In Washington she is a Pelosi clone. In Kansas she presents herself as a traditional conservative.

Amazing.
Without the web and/or an AM radio, we would know nothing. Nor would we have known about the party for George Tiller at the governor’s mansion.
