If you believe 8 years of Obama is a scary likelihood, your problem is with the voters...and possibly Democracy itself.
His correct point is that if you give these guys the levers of power, they can use it to HOLD ON to power.
Incumbency is worth 5% in any election, ask any political operative. Money, support, media, etc. all are easier.
The best way to stop a Democrat is before they get into office and not after.
