Mike Tyson accused of putting out contract on Brooklyn drug gang (Not about drugs)
New York Daily News ^ | June 12th 2008 | JOHN MARZULLI

Mike Tyson chipped in $50,000 for a contract to kill members of a Brooklyn drug gang that murdered his bodyguard in 2000, a government witness testified Thursday.

A former member of the violent Cash Money Brothers gang said the ex-heavyweight champ and another thug, Muhammad Nur, who was also close with the victim, each contributed $50,000 to the bounty on the heads of CMB leaders Damion (World) Hardy and Edward (Taz) Cooke.

"Why would Mike Tyson put a hit out on Taz and World?" asked Assistant U.S. Attorney James Loonam.

Baum was suspected of pumping nine bullets into 50 Cent a month before he was killed, and the rapper refers to him in the song "Many Men."

"'Cause he got hit like I got hit but he ain't f------ breathing," 50 Cent rapped.

The alleged contract was revealed at the trial of Abubakr Raheem, 48, a reputed associate of Hardy, who is charged with participating in two murders.

Hardy controlled the drug trade at the Lafayette Gardens housing project in Bedford Stuyvesant.

The gang's name was lifted from Wesley Snipes' drug crew in the film "New Jack City."

I'm not certain this is actually a crime. Street cred must be maintained.

Mike probably wishes he had those 50 G’s back right about now.

(Whereas Wesley wishes he had paid taxes on his New Jack City earnings.)

One day you're shelling out 50 g's for a hit, the next day you're flopping on some drunks couch.

Whats gonna happen to Wild Mike when they call in his debt on that ridiculous eye tattoo?

Especially since Congress took the name first.

The History Channel runs a series called ‘Gangland’ that might want to watch. It’s enlightening to see the attitudes of people live in such a culture.

On last night’s episode, a woman was bragging that her daddy taught her how to take care of herself so that she wouldn’t need a man ‘except for the bedroom’. How to ‘steal her own car’ was one of the lessons she was taught.

People really do sink to very low levels, almost unconsciously. Some of them wake up and try to convince others not to do what they did, but only after committing multiple murders and burying many ‘friends’ who were murdered in kind.

It’s disturbing when you realize how much death and destruction it takes for the people in these cultures to ‘wake up’. Of course, there is always another crop of youngsters who have to survive the same hell before they ‘wake up’.

I think it’s Bush’s fault though, so it should go away soon...

I don’t see anything wrong with this. Getting rid of these idiots would save the American taxpayers in the long-run and Tyson and Co. were willing to PAY to erase this piece of Sh$t?

i’ve always been a fan of tyson. I know the first thing anyone will say is that he’s crazy and an ear-biter, but an easy scapegoat living his young prime life under a microscope.

Put it this way, does anybody really watch boxing anymore? for many many years, Tyson had the top 5+ out of 10 ppv buys cuz people loved the 2nd round knockout. Now, all that flair is gone, you’d be hard pressed without google to name me who is the real champ.

I would definitely agree, he’s crazy. All that fame and fortune, coming straight off the streets and thrust into that intoxicating arena, doing somethign well...he channeled that rage and was a spectacle, people didn’t want to see him go 12-15, they wanted the 60 seconds.

i did a torrent search the other day and found a 4+ hour special about Tyson. I’m going to save those 2 dvd’s for when my internet cuts out but it should be good. Boxing will never be the same, but when you think about the 80’s and 90’s, boxing was only synonymous with one name. These days, there is no name associated with boxing at all- not in that grand manner anyway.

out of all people believe it or not he’s very disciplined, so they must have pissed him off largely for him to want a hit. this is interesting, please ping me for any updates. thanks.

Nope. UFC has all but killed it. Boxing is sooooo late 1970s CBS and 1980s HBO.

Too many morons killed the sport. Although I must admit I always have and always will believe that Lennox Lewis was the best boxer of my time (I am 34).

None of that was going on when Clinton was President.

At least not in the media.

I don't have any problem with them killing each other but let's not use it as an excuse for gun control.

Bookmark these maps because they show where the majority of violent homicides in the US are originating from.

_______________________________________________________________

These maps are from the article titled "Anti-gun Promo Blackfires"

I think perhaps it should have been entitled, "The African Americans are slaughtering each other in our US Cities"

Baltimore, PROPER, which is reflected on the map has 64.34% Black or African American, 31.63% White.

_______________________________________________________________

This Baltimore Sun map shows a terrible problem, but does not clarify who the murderers are.

Baltimore Sun map of PEOPLE murdered, 2007:

_______________________________________________________________

Baltimore Sun map of BLACKS murdered, 2007: (264)

_______________________________________________________________

Baltimore Sun map of WHITES murdered, 2007: (12)

Of the 12, 6 were killed *downtown* probably while buying drugs. _______________________________________________________________

That's right a small percentage of people, generally gangs and drug dealers, in our large cities are causing the majority of the gun related homicides in the US. Do not allow this data to be covered up or hidden. Do not allow the gun control nutcases to take away your self defense weapons.

SOURCE: http://essentials.baltimoresun.com/micro_sun/homicides/
Baltimore, PROPER, Population 651,154
Baltimore, greater metropolitan area, Population 5.1 Million

The Atlantic just ran a major article on the same phenomenon -- although the reporting failed to associate a rather obvious racial component with the phenomenon.

American Murder Mystery

The article's sub-head:

Why is crime rising in so many American cities? The answer implicates one of the most celebrated antipoverty programs of recent decades.

As, indeed, it does. The unspoken conclusion of the article is that a.) federal housing projects did much to create an unhealthy environment that spawned crime and poverty, then b.) Section 8 programs served to export the crime and poverty to the rest of the city.

One failure atop another, only making the situation worse.

But the intentions of these cherished liberal programs were good. Only their results were catastrophic -- for both the "beneficiaries" of the program and the innocent citizens who paid for them.

Alas, liberals will never learn from this lesson. Instead, they will demand more money to "fight poverty".

Really great graphics in post 15.

You and I have had more than a few run ins on the illegal hispanics.

I lived near Baltimore for many years, and now I hope you see why I am mostly concerned about the citizen blacks instead of the illegal hispanics.

Further, every city I’ve ever lived in had relative few problems with the illegal hispanics.

My friend, you need to study Los Angeles. The Hispanics have gangbanged crime levels to an unbelievable level. The black population of LA has been shrinking for the last five years, not volutarily either.

The Latino, Spanish, Hispanic, Mexican gangs, whatever you want to call them have been attacking individual Blacks whenever they can. The Black parents realized that they either had to arm their kids or get the hellout of town. Most decided to get out.
>Further, every city I’ve ever lived in had relative few problems with the illegal hispanics.<

How close are you to street LEO’s? If you are getting your info from the paper, well, you know.

I mean numbers like 60% of the Black have moved out of their old neighborhoods. Not because they wanted to. The Mexican gangbangers wanted them out because they saw the Blacks as competition in the criminal activities they are involved in.

“Lightly” beat up a 10 or 12 year old child and the mother tells the father, “I want out! NOW! Do you understand me? I want out! I am not going to worry about my daughter being beat up everyday after school. I want out!”
“Yes, Dear. Okay Honey, I’m worried too. Yes, Dear.”, and the family moves out of the area the next weekend.

Then after a few months, the area is ‘clean’ enough where the Mexicans can run their drug operations without interference from the Black thugs.

I have had this explained to me more than once by various LEO’s from LA and San Diego. MS-13 knows how to run drugs.
