i’ve always been a fan of tyson. I know the first thing anyone will say is that he’s crazy and an ear-biter, but an easy scapegoat living his young prime life under a microscope.

Put it this way, does anybody really watch boxing anymore? for many many years, Tyson had the top 5+ out of 10 ppv buys cuz people loved the 2nd round knockout. Now, all that flair is gone, you’d be hard pressed without google to name me who is the real champ.

I would definitely agree, he’s crazy. All that fame and fortune, coming straight off the streets and thrust into that intoxicating arena, doing somethign well...he channeled that rage and was a spectacle, people didn’t want to see him go 12-15, they wanted the 60 seconds.

i did a torrent search the other day and found a 4+ hour special about Tyson. I’m going to save those 2 dvd’s for when my internet cuts out but it should be good. Boxing will never be the same, but when you think about the 80’s and 90’s, boxing was only synonymous with one name. These days, there is no name associated with boxing at all- not in that grand manner anyway.

out of all people believe it or not he’s very disciplined, so they must have pissed him off largely for him to want a hit. this is interesting, please ping me for any updates. thanks.

Nope. UFC has all but killed it. Boxing is sooooo late 1970s CBS and 1980s HBO.

Too many morons killed the sport. Although I must admit I always have and always will believe that Lennox Lewis was the best boxer of my time (I am 34).
