Great..........I also sent it to the GOP in Hawaii and no response. They probably are shy are wanting to get involved on a blog but we need to know.

I have a Hawaii "Certification Of Marriage". It has a lot the same elements of the Obama doc...including (Rev 11/01 LASER) and it's on the same green safety paper. It's signed and stamped on the back by the State Registrar and it's embossed with the seal right above the date. You wold not be able to see the seal if I scanned this (which I won't). I'm sure the Birth and Marriage certs differ, but the strange thing about mine vs. kos is that the top two inches are reserved for "This Is Not An Order Blank" and other rules...AND, it has my address and name, since I requested it. I suspect that the Kos version has the requestors name removed along with the very important "This is Not an Order Blank" copy.

NB: My wife, our witnesses, the officiant (deacon) and I all signed the official copy that was sent to the registrar. This green "Certification" is all the registrar sends out.

I don't question the authenticity of the form itself - a legitimate blank form wouldn't be hard for someone with their resources to obtain.

I do question the authenticity of it's contents - i.e., ‘filled in”?

I agree with you that the doc itself looks authentic, but the text could be photoshopped...Well, if it's fake, we at least know that they aren't as clueless as Dan Ra^ther, right?

I looked at hers and it is identical to that one. Hers does say "Certification of Live Birth" and it looks NOTHING like the ones from Virginia or Georgia (the ones with which I am most familiar) Hers has a blue stamp on the back like this one does and it contains no information about weight, length, or footprint.

Correct, is not an original birth certificate, but it is a certified copy of birth record. It is a state issued, certified record of birth. The ‘original’ birth certificate is on file in the state’s archives (files).

Some states make a photocopy of the original, certify it, issue it to individuals. Some states (like Hawaii) issues a certificate of birth (that is what this is), which is proof that the State possesses the original birth certificate in its files.

Were his parents legally married? This should have been recorded on the Hawaiian certificate of birth...if not, Obamas’ legitimacy to citizenship may be open to question as the above link outlines in detail regarding residency requirements of at least one of his parents.

I hate to say it but your text is shopped better then their's was it's cleaner clearer and looks more original then what they are passing off as real. Yours is even blended better so that it doesn't have the white outlines, or fuzz to the letters one gets from inserting the words into a picture via different layers.

I also tracked down that Hawaii would issue a COLB to someone born outside the US but adopted in Hawaii, and said Obama could have been adopted long before anyone even suggested that Obama could have been adopted for legal reasons by his grand parents, (since Indonesia doesn't recognizes a woman's right to her children in a Muslim divorce).

for the most part most of my observations were ignored even when I did try to corroborate your findings because I'm not an expert, just a amateur researcher.

Welcome to my world. Where were all of those other FReepers who also claimed it was a fake when I started posting the results of my research on June 20, and for five months after that?

What happened is that everyone realized that it was not easy at all to duplicate the Kos image from a real COLB.
