There were bomb threats to Walmart in Florida and today in Indiana.
Any thing to cause them trouble.
Even spending 20 minutes in the parking lot, waiting for a bomb to go off, would get nerve racking.
I agree. I didn’t ask him this yet, but will tonight - I’m wondering right now how close they were allowed to stand to the building after they were evacuated...
Very odd that so many threats against Wal-mart are being reported in the last few days. Someone up-thread mentioned union activists, but I’m not too sure about that. I wonder if it’s a lot of “copy-catting” going on or what...
I was actually surprised at one of our local channels that said their policy is to NOT report on threats at schools or businesses in the area. I guess there are pros and cons to their policy - it would prevent “copy-cats”, but at the same time might lull our community into a false sense of security. As it is, I’m continually amazed at our community - it’s as if we are 20 years “behind” as far as doors unlocked, kids walking after dark, etc.. etc... Don’t get me wrong - I’m loving it. It took me a WHILE to get used to allowing myself to relax a bit when the kids played outside, and letting them walk to the gas station for a snack, or to the library by themselves (granted 2 are teenagers now, but still).
I’m just wondering how much we DON’T hear about on the news here, ya know? I wonder if it’s all a false illusion of security in a way.
