Obama possible VP Zinni has fundamental disagreement on Iraq

MJ: You hear the Democratic candidates talking about withdrawal, but they don't give timetables.

AZ: Yeah, but that's politics. Either it's based on political appeal or it's based on naiveté. We're not going to withdraw from the region. To pull out of Iraq would say we are inviting you to set up a sanctuary and a base of operations. The first time Al Qaeda in Iraq blows up our embassy in Amman, Jordan, guess what? We're back in. The first time the Iranian influence becomes so great that they begin to incite and meddle with the Shiites and start causing problems, guess what? We're gonna be back in.

We have to take a stand, and we have to ensure our interests are protected; they're too important and they reverberate around the globe. Responsible political leaders back here understand that you can't extract yourself totally from the region. You know, we haven't left anywhere and come home since the beginning of World War II. We don't come home anymore. We're still in South Korea. We're still in Germany. We're still in Japan. We're still all over the world.

From an interview last fall...no way does he pick this guy. The antiwar moonbats would freak and Obama is at odds on the Iraq issue.

doctrine of trying to impose democracy and a market economy at the point of a bayonet is a losing strategy
Meanwhile, here at home, the Democrats are busily trying to SUPPRESS democracy and the market economy using the tactic of lies, more lies, and damnable lies.

I haven’t heard General Zinni’s name in a long time. I was just thinking earlier today about my father talking about Zinni visiting his veteran’s group. Somehow I can’t picture him as Obama’s VP.

Him and Clark make perfect couple of metrosexuals. Put them in the back seat of a car, and whoopee!

I’m just curious as to why people here see him that way. What makes you view him as “metrosexual”?

Do you mean Obama or the perfumed prince? If you mean Obama. it's because he, in no way, looks masculine to me. Of course that's subjective and simply my opinion. But there it is. Hes not quite effeminate. But there's not masculinity there.

Actually there’s more. He also looks very unhealthy to me. Like a a sickly puke who who be susceptible to almost anything. Again, that’s just an opinion.

I wouldn't classify him as that, I spotted for him once at the MacDill AFB gymn while he comfortably bench pressed 250 pounds on his back. He is a Middle East expert, he predicted the Embassy bombings, almost to the day by their lack of perimeter security, which Clinton of course, ignored.

No, I thought you were referring to General Zinni. Looks like Berry thought the same. I couldn’t understand why anyone would think Zinni was metrosexual.
