The "mass population" does not "force the Supreme Court" to make any decisions. There are problems with the Court and its jurisprudence. But the one that you hypothesize is not among them.

The "mass population" does not "force the Supreme Court" to make any decisions. What drove the Supreme Court to rule the way it did in Roe v. Wade? Was it new thinking in lawmaking and judging, were they trying to be controversial, or were they caught up in satisfying a popular or liberal desire?

One last thought on the "forcing" comment... I wasn't suggesting that the "mass population" would force the Supreme Court to rule, but I was suggesting that the "mass population" would be a factor (force?) in the Supreme Court choosing NOT to hear the case.
