I can understand Duncan Hunter endorsing John McCain, because Senator Obama would be a disaster.

I’ll vote for McCain if he picks a conservative running mate. If McCain picks a RINO, like Gov. Charlie Crist, I’ll probably write in Duncan Hunter’s name.

Maybe we're too dumb...ignorance is bliss and I feel great about not voting for McCain.

"I'll give him my support," Ryun said. "He's on the top of the ticket."

Now there's an enthusiastic endorsement!

It is more fun to bitch about the obvious than thing strategically or realistically. Yes the choice of McCain sucks, but come on folks, Obama? I mean if it were Hilary I could see a protest third party vote or sitting it out, she would be low risk since she would be as ineffective overall as her “husband”...

Obama represents something far more devious and troubling than just being a liberal democrat politician.

Politicians have fewer choices than ordinary voters. I don’t really think any less of Hunter and Ryun for this. It’s not as if they jumped in quick or showed much enthusiasm. It’s pretty much endorse the candidate or leave the party, and that would be a pity at this stage.

It’s not as if they supported McCain when it really mattered, like Charlie Crist.

2DV,

give it about 5 months of Obama, Obama, and Obama. They'll come around...at least most of them.

Anyone who knew anything had to know this was coming.

We all knew that all of the Republican candidates except for Ron Paul would support McCain.

Anyone who believed otherwise is delusional.

Duncan Hunter was far away the best of the lot...with McCain way down near the bottom of the list. I have been slowly moving towards supporting McCain, mainly because the alternative is too awful to contemplate. But with my hero Hunter saying he supports McCain, that seals the deal.

Now wouldn’t it be great if McCain would pick Hunter to be his running mate! Don’t hurt to wish I guess.

Tom Tancredo has come around as well. Now if we could only get Ron Paul on board...

The McCain List.

I will be voting against Obama...

We can only pray that someone with some sense will impress upon McCain that his stance on drilling must change! The situation has become a matter of National Security and all of you know it. Executive Orders from the President could stop this environmental attack on our country. Iran, Venezuela...et all, have us by the balls. They can't whip us militarily..so they are now going to bring us to our knees over oil. NOT! REPUBLICANS must beat the drum for energy independence. It's not as though we don't have the oil...it is the [d]emocrats (wholly owned subsidiary of the environmental lobby). Take advantage of the position those bastards have put us in.

Don't get me wrong...I want to support McCain. However, he has not done anything lately to warrant that support. I'll see...as I said before, he will get my vote...but my support is much more valuable!

If he pushes to continue progress on the fence like he stated, that will be a start. Attrition is the way to go...FRED had it right! WOW...what a good man to have breathing down McCain's neck. I hope he is at least considered as part of the security team.

Meh, I can understand, given the alternative of Obama.

Not enthusiastic though. Especially given that Duncan Hunter is retiring from Congress after this term.

Who knows, maybe McCain will do something positive in the next five months. Or maybe Obama will just do something that makes him impossible to vote for.

Duncan Hunter is a Republican politician and, unlike McCain, no doubt feels some loyalty to the Party and thus publicly supports McCain.

Republican and conservative voters owe no such loyalty to the Republican Party as it moves hard left.

Simple. McCain has convinced Hunter to back him and with Duncan being a party guy and all ....

Many conservatives aren’t convinced McCain should get our vote. That includes me.

For most conservatives, in the end it’ll probably be more a vote against Obama, then a vote for McCain.

I will hold my nose and vote for McCain.
President B. Hussein Obama is too bitter a pill for me.

No sense cutting off your ears to spite the nose by not
voting against Obama.

Both Hunter and McCain share the view that we need to win
the War against the IslamOfascists.
Also both have Marine sons who have served in Iraq.
