Well, as the darker-skinned Jamaicans used to say in the 1960s when the island was run by British whites: “Black man day come.” Does this mean it’s here?

Just look to Zimbabwe to answer that question. Their “black man day” come too.

Jamaica is the ground-zero of “baby-momma”, “mack-daddy” culture. Married parents are in the distinct minority.
My question is: I always thought an all-encompassing welfare state was necessary to subsidize such practices?

The UN also offered to assist the government in the fight against crime. I can not imagine a more chilling thought. The most inept organization in the world "helping" an inept government.

Jamaica banned guns from law-abiding citizens decades ago...and crime has gone up every year since.
Proposing even *more* gun control bespeaks to a bankrupt methodology, though.

I think the UN just “helped” the government of Lebanon. I'm sure everything will turn out OK there. /sarc

With the decline of Jamaica's importance as a trans-shipment port for cocaine destined for the United States, a flood of weapons have found their way into the island as unscrupulous people exploit the island's porous coastline and have established a booming guns for drugs trade between arms smugglers from Jamaica, Haiti, Honduras and other countries in the region. Gee whiz...if B Hussein nullified the Second Amendment, no one would ever smuggle arms into the US, would they?

What this article fails to mention is that Jamaica already has draconian gun control laws. Only the police and the criminals have guns. So much for unbiased reporting. But when you're anti-gun, it's best to cover up the fact that gun control kills innocent people.

Jamaica has teetered back and forth between socialism and democracy for decades.
Interesting place to go to visit. Really a beautiful place BUT.
If you go to a resort you will have very heavy security. If you go away from the protected resort you likely will be targeted for GOD knows what.
It isn’t just the white devil being targeted, but ALL Americans.

The UN is just priming the population of the arrival of UN peacekeepers and other rapists and pillagers, so that they can come in unopposed.

How Gun Control "Worked" in Jamaica"We've all heard the phrase, "When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns." I can personally confirm that this statement is absolutely and painfully true, because that is exactly how the Jamaican disarmament worked."

MORE control? HOW? That's a country where mere possession of a single .22LR round can get you jailed (and that's a nasty jail) for 5 years!
