Barack Obama's plan for imposing unity on the nation after he takes office apparently entails a close look at war crimes trials for Bush administration officials. He has even said so in an interview with Will Bunch of the Philadelphia Daily News.
This kind of change -- putting your predecessors on trial for their conduct of policy -- may not be what most Americans really want or expect from someone with Obama's gauzy rhetoric of unity. But unity has a dark side in the hands of people who regard their opponents as criminals. America has two centuries-plus of history lacking the totalitarian practice of jailing the predecessors when a new president takes office.
This is the sort of proposal one might expect from a man steeped in Marxism at his church, from his friends like Ayers, and as a member of the Alinsky Left. But I am surprised he let this slip............

That is a valid thing to wish for other people to do, but you present no path as to how to get those people to act the way you wish.
Perhaps the traditional RNC way of saying, if you don’t vote for our candidate, the other one will win?
Keep your powder dry, folks.
Nugorp is gone after one post? That seems extreme.
I had hoped to actually discuss stuff with him.
Paranoid is when you worry about complete strangers plotting against you for no discernible or rational purpose. Conscious is when you examine what your adversaries say they intend to do and take them at their word.
Yeah....and John “f’n” flip-flop Kerry for his Geghnis Khan invasion of Cambodia.
Now banned or suspended.
And just cause you are paranoid, does not mean that they are not out to get you.
:-)
It seems so, not a good first impression I guess.
probably trials involving members of the bush administration, haliburton, and that security company that bumped off terrorists.
imho
A more frightening scenario involves the UN Court vs. our military, with President Wanna-be's smug encouragement.
“We would’nt have to put up with this bulls—t if criminal muderers like Ayers and other leftist traitors had been hung 40 years ago.”
Actually we should have tried Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Jane Fonda and the other traitors for treason back then.
When they were found guilty, hung them in the Capitol Rotunda and left their bodies hanging and rotting to remind other Capitol Hill traitors the consequences of treaston.
We didn’t and now traitors like Hussein ObamaMessiaHamas think that they are patriots when they hate American 24/7.
Now, now. That would be silly. They’d label you a ‘McCarthyite’.
Just shut up and eat your borscht. (You cannot eat all you want though.)
Sounds like it will be a shoe-in.
Your post is laced with confidence, I can tell it came from the sole.
I agree. I don’t see how this country could avoid a civil war. I suggest everyone begin downloading data from open secrets and record the address of supporter yard signs. These are the dictators were going to have to deal with.
All Bush has to do is pardon the US military and his enitre staff for any and all crimes which could be connected to the war in Iraq.
One thing that has changed is that Juanito's being the presumptive nominee does not give him the authority to dictate to conservatives. Dubya done seen to that. Delegates to the 2004 Republican convention removed their "Purple Heart" band-aids when Bush told them to, but that sort of thing won't happen again. We blame our "compassionate" (read: linguini-spined) leadership for the impending loss of the very Republic. We shall do what we think best to preserve it, until such day as they are all replaced with real leaders.
